KRUPTOR reacted to Thom in E7 Efi 302w , Cam Selection?
there's nothing wrong with the standard cam, it is possible with the right heads and intake to make 400HP nat asp with it, engines masters magazine did it a few years ago, but they had to rev it to 7700 rpm and it lost a but of low down torque, there.are better cams out there, if I was you I would just get a set of 1.7 ratio rockers and a decent set of valve spring the throw some boost at it

KRUPTOR got a reaction from Outback Jack in Ford V8 Escort
Hey guys,i mounted the motor there because i wasnt going to mod the sump and other aspects.I used a 7L sump as a dummy on my dummy motor and trans.I made it so i could work on the motor in the car.You look at Mark's escorts and they are a cunt to work on in car.I can change all my sprakplugs and do compression checks in car.I also made clearance for heat as being a small engine bay and no vents in the bonnet it would cook. But this thing did not get hot at all.It would handle 160-180kmph down the main straights at Winton raceway. It was alittle hairy when you see the corner coming up and you needed to brake hahahahaa.
I also had abit of help from a good friend PRO250 David. He use to work with Mark years ago and was involved in a few conversions.
My escort steered and handled not bad.I halso had a tailshaft that was short so i wouldnt loose much power to the wheels.I'm a big bloke and i fit in there no worries.
It was a rushed job, like i said if i could get another turn i would do it well.I've still got parts for another build,i wouldnt mind a escort van or 2 dr.

KRUPTOR got a reaction from XPT in 351 Cleveland in a ZL fairlane 1985 carby
Will need engineering as no xf vehicle came out with a v8.Your best tip would be to talk to an engineer in your local area.

Errrrr................no.
Simply put, Vehicle Inspection Centre will not allow an older engine in a newer body.

The ZL is identical to ZJ and ZK (bar hanging panels and lights) why would I need chassis rails designed to cope when there the same as a zj an k? and its alread disc brake rear 225mm rotors which is one requirement, v8 springs are cheap enough change the sway bar to a v8 and it'd the same as a zj/k?? Im confused?

^^What he said and you may have to go a dedicated LPG setup to be able to run the Clevo. An alternative is an AU XR8 5 litre which would give similar performance and be easier to engineer with better economy.

Actually in the long run fitting LPG,your running costs are cheaper.Just make sure your regular maintenance is up to key.

KRUPTOR reacted to slydog in ute/van rolled pan rear
Dude at work did what your after but has since sold his ute on...mine looks like this as I don't want a rolled pan look or tow bar but something different...
I used 1.6mm zinc annealed sheet and cut it to size and welded it on there when I was happy with what I saw.

Not much of a sleeper with that turbo intake for a drivers side headlight!

KRUPTOR reacted to MNTL.XD in How to get the oxidise/rust look on a car.
I've always wanted to get an entire car airbrushed to look like it has big rust holes in the the bottom corners of door and along roof rails etc etc, some thing in excellent condition made to look as sad as possible, similar to what you have there (the pano) or similar to rat rods, but no actual rust, purely done with airbrush.
But then again i've always wanted to get a car in primer, get a professional graffiti artist to cover it in his work, un-mask it and clear coat it as is. Maybe i'm just sad? lol.

I love rat rods. This should come out pretty good. Interested to see how the wheels will look. There were some rat rods in the Nats pics that had shiny chrome wheels, definite no no. The black will be much better.

KRUPTOR got a reaction from XFGHIA747 in standard xf efi fuel pump help ??
No it wont,an external bosch 070 will run it and will run a turbo one.But if you are chasing power in the future the 2x 044 would be the go and a 2.5-5L sureg would be the go.
