The meaning of skid....

that is not a skid,burnout all the way !

 

skid to a STOP

 

slid pan .used for sliding a car ,not for burnouts 

 

i wish i could go back to the tokyo drift days and strangle the writters,

 

 

skidded   to a stop, i skidded off the road,lol

 

 

 

i did a burn out and burnout off the road???? this is what tokyo drift and movies like this have done to Australia

I think it depends on where you come from, I've always used both words when telling a mate to do a skid or burnout, thats way before and drift stuff was in NZ. I'd say that mustang is doing a power skid.

I've always thought a skid was a burnout without using your brakes ( power skid ) and a burnout is using your brakes so you can just sit there smokin it up....

Ok guys let phrase them then,

 

Burnout=lots of smoke

Skid=lines at speed.

Power Skid=no brakes from a standing start....

 

What do you guys reckon???

A Skid was something I did with my dragster when I was a kid. I used my rear brake to make one!

 

 

Did you have footy cards in the spokes too!!

 

I always thought that you skidded when you stopped....
