I can tell you now that head cost me $1950 plus parts and 2 date it owes me $3500 and thats with 2 different people working on it not just one. I am extremely saddened by wat it flows but I should say I have always known they were multigroove valves but I was under the impression I had 1.86in and 1.56 ex.
The work Shaun is doing now coupled with all the new valve train will make it an easy $4500+ Head but with the power it made before coupled with the new work it shall be singing. A big thanks to Ando76 as well who is providing help and advice in the background.
Sly im gonna stick with the same solid cam. I really loved the way it drove and sounded before. Hopefully the EDM lifters will help it last this time around.

Yeah Tim gave me a BA engine when he came down so I have a head to test at a later date, I won't be able to do it for a while as I have to make double valve opening fixtures and I just opened up a facebook page and now have some work got a 4L head and manifold to do for a skid car and another manifold for a speedway car YAY.
Look me up if you guys want "Stumpers cylinder heads N manifolds"

grimmy you have some seriously big gonads my friend.  Most cam manufactures recommend run in on outer springs with seat pressures over 120lb.  I would think that at 140 you are pushing the envelope and run the risk of wiping a lobe at some stage.  but hey if you get away with it all well and good. 

Been reading something interesting about cam bearings and thought id put some info together. Anyone that has a hot crossy tell us wat springs you use and cam and pressure...

Definately not easier using the ba cluster. You can buy a standalone harness off a guy on ebay on an exchange basis. Prob the easiest way and if you go manual you can use a T5 with barra bellhousing. Piece of piss :-) xg rad and reservoir with xg engine mounts. Im looking at doing a similar conversion shortly :-)

Talk to Dave pro250... he supplied my whole kit on a pallet ready to bolt in. Hq calipers and xb discs up front with a 10mm thick ? Adaptor plate for caliper. Then falcon discs and calipers down back. I just got him to build me a complete diff with spool, 4.11s and 5 stud haha

86da on have the 4ltr metric bolts and just need to be drilled to suit bigger bolts so yes they do fit. A earlier flywheel can be used on later without drilling as the bolt holes are bigger but you need shanked bolts or you asking for trouble ;-)

Spot on clevo. Also reduces load on the oil pump which in turn reduces load on the cam.  Clever dude the fella that built that engine.  He can adjust the pressure without removing the sump due to mods he had made around the relief core area which allows him to wind pressure in and out thru an access hole in the sump.  Like I said, very clever man.

Rust in all the same places as an xseries really. Being a ghia is it vinyl roof? If its manual check the top trailing arm mounts on the body as they tear out.
