the red one is for air con and works inconjunction with the electrical soleniod. When Air con turned on it powers up soleniod valve to open manifold vacuum metered to the distributor to up the timing to prevent over heating and bad idle. If your not running air con dont bother with it. As for the other I think it is for vacuum  on webber carby as is temperature operated to act at various temps. think to richen.
Not sure if required on V8 depends on carby.

First/ reverse servo can spit the O ring ,, or shatter the whole servo bucket arrangement ..
Ie loose first and or reverse ..

Well I'm a complete twit, after taking a closer look at my towball, and clearing some dust it states the capacity on it... 1200kg, Stupid female moment perhaps?

The sooner I get away from dirt roads the better.
 
So that being said I think the smaller sized trailer would be the better idea.
 
Probably the heaviest items are the fridge, bed and couch.
 
I'm moving size wise the equivalent of a two bedroom house, so not exactly a lot and I always spread the heavier items out across the loads anyway

So the diff is not square/ 90 degrees to the chassis rails? One way to square up/adjust the "lead" in the rear end is adjustable lowering blocks. If you mesure the wheel base it'll be different from one side of the car to the other AND one side will have "toe in" while the otherside will have "toe out"

Pulled the door grab handles off to see if i could tidy them up from what i suspect rings on fingers , scratching the knacker out of them .
Whilst i was there , i pulled the connections on the cigar lighters and taped them up . .... Dont smoke no more ..
 
Decided to bung the fuse back in ,,"30amp" and turned the car on ,,
Radio works perfect ,, tape deck that was untried ,, works perfect ,,

Does the premium system come on automaticly when you fire up the car ,,,?

Got some bulkhead fittings and nice billet clamps to tidy the fuel lines. I sorta want the engine bay in this thing to be really nice and functional and look pretty. Bit of a nod to what I do.

this is the second premium sound I've been through in my XF. they have both died. they cut out, then try to turn on again, but just can't, so whilst driving there is a frequent click from the radio and factory amp, and a pop through the speakers as the radio clicks on for a split second. Its almost like a capacitor is dead inside or something like that. 
does anyone know of a place that can repair these units?

Ok, well this is the second unit i have been through. The first one did the same, they slowly get worse until they dont want to turn on at all. If i stick a cassette in, the amp and speakers all work fine. Its literally just the radio section thats dead.
 
Ive replaced the cigarette socket when i made my gauge panel for the console. So both units have died with different cigarette sockets.

Does it have a bopping beat to it ,, and lights in the bottom amp flash/ flicker in time to it ,?

I already have a slight ringing in my ears all the time, so Im guessing 32-3500ish revs at 110kmh and an exhaust 2 feet behind me will get annoying fast. Havent done the maths to work out revs though, it's sunday lol
