    Who's got one??
And do we have pics of this spoiler around the sides??

I been looking at pics and it looks like you can see the original XF front bar
around the edges or sides of the spoiler??
    Hope im wrong.
Also, does it weigh much more than factory Ford front XF Bar?
I dont need extra brackets and what not do i?

    LNice thread mine.

These days I use a medium-small size slide hammer with a fitting, that slips in and hooks over the back of the bearing.
Wouldn't re use the bearing though if pulled out in this way.

And for aligning clutch I have the input drive of a t5 I pulled out of one I broke.

I've not seen spigot bearings without sealed race, if it's a serviceable/exposed cage style bearing then yeah I can see where the troubles lie. Good idea jamming paper in against the bearing to seal it and get it to work though.

Yeah, i hear ya..!   Original A/C units are like Gold bullion at the moment. Been looking at Vintage Air, and the like for the XB, maybe an under dash fanny freezer, but modifying the dash controls isn't really my thing. The old York style compressor used to sit high and proud on the passenger side of the Clevo, and they're not a great unit, the later model Sanden ? type compressors are more efficient, smaller, and I guess with the right bracketry, can be mounted anywhere.

Good luck trying to find an original TX valve/drier/evap for the old girl, and when you do it will be pricey. Not that the newer units are much cheaper, but they'll probably last longer and be colder.

Have a look at autoaer.com.au as well.

Didn't know there was an "off the shelf" unit available. The XD Falcon was the only car to have a clutch cable reinforcement bolt off and on the firewall?
(I think the XC had one to but don't quote me) XE, XF had a small tube just welded to the firewall and its so common for it to crack around the area.
So depends what car you want to put it on, I believe a 'custom job' might be in order.

Wasp is ok, that's off eBay too. Some of us can't afford triple the price, so we spread the word about what is good and what isn't.

I have limited knowledge of the Ford computers, but best way to do it is to keep the entire loom with the computer, that way you'll know you have the right plugs. There are different amounts of pin counts between models even with the same kind of computer. So you will want to use the ED computer with the engine, and disable smartlock, there is a chip you can install called the J3 chip. You can also alter the tune to suit a manual (so I believe).

I converted an EF to manual and it went fine except the rpm used to hang up after coming to a stop. I found out that it's to mask the downcanges in the auto box and eliminate the clunking sensation, especially at lower speeds. Possibly could be emissions too. I just bodgied the idle speed control solenoid to limit the amount of rpm it could increase by. I had no idea back then that you could just get the ECU modded with this J3 chip I mentioned.

There are afew options for wiring but the simplest way I've heard is ring(don't email as they won't get back to you) Haltech and tell them what your doing and they will work out a loom for you, they make of the shelve stand alone looms for barra's now so it shouldn't be as pricey as it used to be. Also have a read through the members builds section as there are afew conversions in there that will help you with your project

Gday, pretty sure the FG sump will need to be changed as the deep pan part is rearwards (not 100% on this), the BA/BF barra sump has front pan. which will clear the XF subframe.  You also dont need the fancy mounts, you can use the falcon ones from EB/ED upper  and bolt them to the lower XF parts    You will need the modified sway bar, muscle garage in SA(?) makes them and sell one ebay. You will need to fabricate a transmission mount according the gearbox selected, and the later the box the more mods you may need to do like trans tunnel and shifter location/console etc  Depending on what radiator you plan on using the front apron needs a trim to clear the lower radiator hose (using BA/BF radiator), and potentially the RH shock tower will need a notch taken to clear the turbo (depending which setup you use (again check the build threads its all covered).

Also check with engineer, pretty sure the power output rating on the barra (lowest KW is the E-gas 156kw)  compared to XF EFI crossflow (121KW)  is greater than the allowed percentage in some states and will require engineers certification, at which point they will check a whole heap of other stuff for compliance, which may get costly !. (eg/ Victoria is 20% over standard requires VASS).  If the cars already rego'd you can run it till you get pulled over I guess (if in VIC without yearly inspections) !

I will be doing my XE shortly, as I have all the bits, just gotta get it rego'd first

Have had an ultra king do this, and the shock oil went all over the spring saddle and away bar bushes and they fell to bits too. An XF ghia had these fitted when I got it.
I found the valving the ultra king quite firm, and I like a firm shock. Just this happened.

I'm pretty sure Ultima are not ultra king. Ultima come with a very good warranty. Have em in my 4x4 and in the Elgrand. No issues here. And my local suspension mob gave em a solid plug.
