they are just QA1's. They have the eyelets on each end.

check out mine were done, loads easier and not mods to diff or top mounts needed
The bottom eyelets bolt straight upto the original shocker mount location with spacers each side to centre em.
The top have a bracket around the eylet and a bolt going upwards.

I really need to update this. I have since got both guards and the drivers door straight and into hi-fill primer, left door will be done tonight. Have fitted up drivers side panels for alignment. Valve springs are all fitted to the head and have started on the dump pipe which will be done tonight. Im on break tomorrow which shall see the left door into hi-fill and the timing chain and head fitted along with the exhaust manifold, turbo and dump pipe. Will upload pics when i get time

spoke to mcdonalds racing about the coil over in the rear issue - reckons he should have somthing that will work - would require converting to eye and running a bar with 2 bolts across the top thou - easy done really - going to go down in a few weeks to see what hes got that will work

SirkWhyXF reacted to Thom in BA XR8 Air box Question
That's the best I could get without pulling it apart, it just looks like a piece of flat plate with a couple of bends in it

Even a 302 is very popular around here because many have f trucks that pull horse floats ect ect,,,,and finding anything around here is near impossible, the last one i did i got$2000 for it and its no different to what i have done this time, but im targeting a market like if some one wants a complete replacement for there xa xb fairmont ect or f truck it will come with a rebuilt holley and ready to start, here is a picture of the last one.

Still yet to take the lot to the big smoke ,,, " Hobart " , to get a bolt to slap in there ,
Then chose a muffler to suit , so I can do my exhaust system .
Been reading up on the threads on here on exhausts ,, so see how we go .

Can you show us a couple of pics of the sill damage? I might be able to help.
Ticks me off with rwc that mechanics are asked to make judgements on things outside their qualifications. Its like asking me to tell if your big end bearings are shot by listening to the rattle in the aerial. Most don't have a clue what the regs actually are let alone what's a safety issue.

yeah i should've known about the sway bar. just wasnt thinking when i fitted it. its a pain to get in, you have to use a ratchet strap to pull it together to go into the control arms. its like a giant spring.
when i bought this, i originally said id sit on it, because the XF was priority. but the problem is, I can't permanently keep it at home, like the XF, due to space. so theres a good chance this will end up at a mate's house, so its not fair on him having it there, unable to be driven. once i got started on it, it just snowballed. so yeah it happened pretty quickly.
so the hard work is done (providing it passes its inspection on thursday) its just a matter of doing all the small stuff i want to add. extractors, twin barrel carb and manifold, corner bumpers. but all in good time

Nothing worse than doing a job twice (sway bar ref).
Still looking forward to seeing this car mate, impressed with the progress.
