Hey guys I'm trying to find out what I need wiring wise to make an AU V8 and auto work in a 2000 courier. First does anyone make a loom to make it work. Second what do the engine and trans need to see to make them work properly

    Cheers

Yep as the other guys have said AUs run coil packs. Come to think of it, why don't you just run the original dizzy, ecu and wiring loom just fit it all to the AU engine? You can still run a J3 chip on those earlier ecus

Ive been toying around with the idea of chucking a snail on the ute cause basically its slow as fuck and well it would be a lot more fun to drive.

Ive sourced an EL computer to suit the engine as it allows for better tuning with a J3 chip.

Im also in the process of getting an AU engine cause ive read the bottom ends are better and it means i can build up the engine while keeping the ute on the road,

Now im not interested in a high budget build but i am not likely to do it on the cheap either. Only thing is i have no idea what way to go with a parts list so i asked my learned colleagues to add some advice here to point me in the right direction.

I do know there will be some braided line, shiny allloy intercooler piping and the odd aeroflow fitting but other than that who knows - all a learning curve.

El Comp I'm not sure the maf will be good for boost

The ute manifold would be fine

Keep the au bottom handy and see if you can get a leg out of the block on the xg one

Yesterday I went and purchased 2 more tyres the same as the fronts (175/50R15s) to replace the oversized 195/50s that were on the rear and scrubbing my guards.

Also turns out my wheels are Citroen alloys, not Saab. Cool

so I'm pretty happy with the way she's sitting now. just need the sway bar to fix this vibration.

Do you guys have the mobile touch up blokes over there? They would fix that up for a few hundred.

Otherwise I agree with Jim, slowly fill it all with paint then wet sand smooth and polish.  Wont be perfect but should be tidy.

Can use a single rail one and re drill it. I've got one here that has been done.

Could just screw it shut like I have, Dean suggested it years ago.

Shes looking pretty good at the moment. I cleaned it up in and outside to get the photos to lodge with the car club.

S pack was really just an option pack on a GL.

I've even got a GL parts car here that has the striped seats, 6 gauge cluster, clock and S pack wheels. Seems that often people optioned bits and pieces on them.

Didn't know the vinyl roof was officially an option though. And I've never seen that radio!

Use all the xd heater box vac lines on the xf heater box. Then it all plugs straight into the dash and works.

Same with the fan speed resistor, ac evap temp probe and heater temp cable lever etc.
