Defective got a reaction from Panko in Panko's Mk1 Escort (Round 2)
Mavic pro? I'm trying to justify buying one myself haha.

One thing i always see with watermarks, is people do as you have and put them down in a corner like that.
and the first part that gets cropped out if someone uses your pic for something.

I took this photo a few weeks back, but wasnt ready to put it to the public eye just yet
as you can see it was taken with a drone, and you can see the watermark of my new business venture

I dam hope they look the goods haha 😂
like i said in an earlier post, if i decide not, i will move these on and buy a new set of 13x6 deep dish steelies with centre caps. But i am really hanging out to get these on the car. Just a shame my daily driver needs tyres also. 18” tyres arent cheap either.
I was considering getting in touch with Barrel Bros about a pair of wide snowflakes for rear of the xf. But i cant afford to do anything like that ill just dream haha

On on the mcm front, that episode made me contact barrel bros about my modenas. Hopefully some, progress soon on that front.

I got stuck into the wheels today. Basically battled with the wind all day, and then started losing the sunlight which I was using to dry the coats of paint.
So i got all the base colour done today, matte black on the back and gloss on the front. Tomorrow I will clear the front side. If only the days were a little longer  (bring on summer, sick of this cold weather)
    backs all done

front all done. yep only 3 being painted on the front today because remember I had already done one a few weeks ago, but i do need to clear coat that, so it is also masked off waiting its clear coat.

The final step will be to do a final machine polish on the alloy before they go and get tyres fitted. once thats done, thats the last major, priority job, on the Escort for a while, and I can try focus on the wagon.

Yep I’m using a super cheap suv cover on my pano.

Main thing with any cover is to take them off every few weeks and let the air get in there and dry out any moisture.

245's on 17" rims and Shelby drop. would rub on bump stop plates. Was not real bad, took a long time before it started to get through the paint.
3 mm offset or spacer would have sorted it in my case.  I'm running homemade bumpstops now so heaps of clearance.

If you have a spare tailshaft knock the uni out of the slip yoke and you have yourself an anti drain plug, old trans cooler lines screwed into the auto that have been cut off and bent over also help keeping the fluid off the floor

I use machine oil, never fails!
I squirt it down the bores, dump a lot in the pan as well, take the rocker cover off and coat everything in there with machine oil, take oil filter off and coat all the crap in there and take dizzy out and squirt some in there as well. I have an engine that it's been apart for about 18 months now and not event the slightest sign of rust and it's not even packaged up or anything, just bare block and crank, pistons etc. all coated in machine oil and it's all good
The pic was taken on Moss St ?

Thanks for the offer man but I just did it myself. Only used about 100mls of oil over all six but it’s turning over with a ratchet on the pulley easy enough.

A decent runner in Sydney is more than that, a rebuildable engine would get $200. A good runner is $400- $500. It sounds like you could do with some extra $$$ after reading your thread so don’t sell yourself short.

Il have maybe two unwanted crossflows to get rid of haha...definitely one anyway. Mine wouldnt cost you anything like $100 either. (I thought that's what a decent runner was worth these days haha)

Carefully grab them with one hand - throw them in the nearest bin. Get Felpro 302W Neo seal.  Knock out rope seal retaining spike from cap, install Neo seal as per instructions inside Felpro packet - live happily ever after with an engine that doesn't leak and doesn't have parasitic drag loss from a crap rope seal.

Diesel is good for unsticking engines. If it's just to keep everything lubed, bit of engine oil and turn her over.

The cross flow I’m putting in my pano has been sitting idle for a while so I’m think ing of dropping some oil down the bores just to make sure everything is staying nice and loose.
    What’s best to use?
I’ve heard diesel and light machine oil can be used.
