Update to progress

So with Christmas, Holidays and all, I have managed a little bit of time on the old XF. I have managed to:
- install the 1/2 cage
- install the second (passenger) seat
- rebuilt the rear brakes
- installed a new rear handbrake cable (this was missing entirely)
- changed the rear trailing arm and Watts Link bushings for Nolethane (they were stuffed)
- changed the Swaybar links and bushings, am going to run the factory swaybar for now!
- removed the tow bar from the rear bumper (cut out the actual towbar)
- rewired the engine bay to a distribution block for positive and negative and;
- have just relocated the battery tray to the boot (where the spare wheel used to sit).
Am getting there!

Scratch my responce then on that ,,
utes n wagons use the leaf spring setup , 
sedans the watts link set up . 
 
Check your springs bushes and shackles ,,
pry bar will show up and movement that looks unwarrented 

My rocker cover kit came just plain n simple good value at $100 comes with bolts breathers gromets almost finished

at normal 9.1 comp should be ok ,blowershop has a special atm full six 71 set up for $5k to compete with the weiand kit.

My Silver XE S-pak I drove on my P's I had standard manifold, exhaust fitters used a 3" long 2" pipe from standard flange to a full 2.5" exhaust, lost a little torque from 1000-1600 but after that it picked up. & When I fitted Pacemaker extractors & 100 cell cat to my XF ute (already had 2.5" cat back & 214°.495" Cam), only really made a bit more power after 3000 rpm (till valve float 😕) other wise only made a little difference. Same exhaust on my built xflow sounds another thing altogether tho,
I like the Hooker aerochamber muffler sounds nice on anything,

under the bonnet , hidden away

Should check the O ring in the first and reverse servo pot , whilst its open . 

All this top notch gear going in and on it ,, and your reusing the water pump,? 

Have spotted a granada down here ,,

clutch fan or electric,,
thermostat ,,
oil cooler ,,
timing ,,
intercooler,,
exhaust size ,,
the possibilities go on

No, doesn't matter.  You'll see when you remove the mechanism from the door. It's a coiled spring, like a tape measure, and one end will be bent around a pin. It's not enclosed, so you can see everything.  
It won't kill you.!  but it will take the skin off your knuckles if you forget.
