I think the phrase 351 cleveland and economy don't compute comes to mind.

I'm glad my ZH doesn't have a trip meter.

Shes looking pretty good at the moment. I cleaned it up in and outside to get the photos to lodge with the car club.

I seriously considered them. They look like a decent tyre and they make good sizes. I have Eagers and TA radials here and Eagers are extremely soft while TA radials are average. For the price I think Sumitomo is an excellent buy.

The rear set of TAs on the ZH set me back $600 fitted for 245/60/14s I think that's criminal. Can't believe they are as cheap as Hendrixhc said. Spot on you cant go wrong.

Ive made good progress this week. Not much more to do now.

sway bar with fresh subframe black paint.

sway bar, new control arms and tie rods fitted.

steering column dropped to repair the steering coupling

steering coupling repaired, cleaned. looks nearly new

    interior all back together

    discs freshly machined up

    new springs

bit of height difference. apparently only 1" lower when in the car...we'll see lol

old vs new. just goes to show what some cleaning can do. all I've replaced on the "new" strut is the springs. the shock inserts are the same, all the rubbers (shock sleeves and bumpstops) tops and all are the same ones, just been thoroughly cleaned.

passenger side back together, and thats where i had to leave it for today, as i have to go to work shortly. Turns out you can't put the struts back in with the sway bar installed, so i had to remove it from the car entirely again

more to come tomorrow if all goes well, it will be on its wheels by tomorrow night.

Got up this morning to find this on my door step

Twin barrel manifold for my down draught weber

I then gave the car a wash and took it for its last drive until i get the new front end it.

If you look close at the boot lid you can see where i did the test cut and polish

And this is how i left it for the day. Tomorrow work begins. Fun times ahead

If its that simple I like the idea. I certainly can see how that modern panel bonding stuff could make it neat and very simple.

I've been mulling over ditching the side windows in my van, but the whole idea of finding someone to weld up the holes and having the van out of action for a while does not interest me at all.

The other day on bookface i saw a pic of a white van where the owner had just cut out some stainless the right shape and screwed it in place.

I'm not a fan of exposed screws, but I was thinking of maybe the new bonding agents they stick modern cars together with.

What would be the pros and cons of going this way?
To be honest I'm only seeing pro's at the moment.

    Easy to diy
    No warped panels from welding
No paint damage, would just need the new panel painted
About 11ty times cheaper than paying it to be welded, filled and painted

    What am I missing?

Got my exhaust done lst night at Hi-tech exhaust in sunshine. Got the left pipe & muffler deleted but retained the right side muff & pipe Duane added a collector to merge the left pipe into the right then put a 2.5" single tailpipe on to the muffler & im very happy with how it sounds

I think everyone is entitled to there opinion that is what the forum is for. I tend to agree at that budget I would look at a 4 litre.

Trent250's name leads me to believe he like 250 crossflows. so if he can do the work himself I think $3000 could go a fair way.
