I always thought you needed a spacer, or aftermarket cover too. One reason why so many use aussiespeed rocker covers.

Best way to identify T5 is reverse location. Be under fifth on T5, and next to first (?? Maybe 2nd?) on Sigma box. Shifters also look different.
Ask to see the motor with rocker cover off should give a reasonable idea on internal condition.

Defective reacted to Panko in Panko's Mk1 Escort (Round 2)
and ill keep going off topic for a bit *actually, not entirely off topic. the trailer runs Mk1 Escort brakes, on 5 stud falcon rotors...hence the Jelly beans on the trailer.
we have been emptying out my late grandfather's house in Emerald, which is where I currently store the wagon. so the last 2 weekends we have been between Emerald and Blairgowrie moving furniture, and appliances etc that we have decided to keep, and replace old stuff down the beach house in Blairgowrie.
last weekend we washed and put the boats away for the end of the season, and decided the tarp covering dad's yacht needed replacing after 25+ years of service.
So heres the yacht. the poor thing has not seen water for 11 years and probably hasn't been uncovered in the same amount of time
its heartbreaking seeing it sit there.
I love sailing the Catamaran, solo like i do most seasons. its fast, an awesome adrenaline rush, but nothing beats the relaxing feeling of sailing something of this size and weight.

Simmons Are too common these days.
They still look good but it's like the default option when you can't think of what wheel to buy.

These are photo shopped on at this point, but do have them in 17x10 for rear and 17x8 for front sitting in boxes.

Yeah not many can pull of 20s. Seen a few that look good but so easy to look out of proportion.
I had 20s on my old ute, and got rid of them and went to old school 15x8s and it looked better and drove much better.

Either way can't go wrong. (i'd still go gold... but i do have a gold wheel fetish, i just love gold wheels for some reason.)

I'm leaning more towards charcoal centres. I like the contrast against the bright yellow.

Defective reacted to Panko in Panko's Mk1 Escort (Round 2)
Well yeah it worked perfect. I think my concern with criticism was that some may see the fact we modified the blocks as dangerous. But nothing has changed in the way the block is made, just the pin is re-located.
The day we did this, we drove it round to a friend of Cal's (who owns a few very nice X series ESPs and a couple of nice FG turbos), and when we told him what we did with the block he said he had done that numerous times on his old XYs and XWs for the same reason, to correct the rear end alignment

Nothing to criticise with that fix. If it works it's good imo
