77xcfalcon got a reaction from bear351c in XA XB XC Column shift to T-bar conversion.
Hi bear, I hope these help. Mine is a 6 cyl c4 xc. The top of the console mount is 20 mm off the top of the tunnel. I’ll get some specific measurements if you like.

Maybe measure again. Unless it has had a fair wack tacken off of the gasket surface, it will be more than 45cc.

77xcfalcon reacted to XPT in Alloy Head XFlow Header Flange
Here's a CAD Alloy XFlow header flange for anyone who wants to make their own manifold. I've got it at 12mm thick for turbo manifolds. I've also got a dxf file to send directly to laser cutters to save coin having it formatted. PM me and I can email it.

77xcfalcon reacted to Thom in Best exhaust?
My wagon has what is essentially an au 220kw Windsor in it (It's not actually one I built it using an el block and au parts) when I bought the car it has a single 2.5 exhaust on it, it now has a twin 2.25 with an x pipe and straight through mufflers, the twin exhaust sounds better, goes better and is better on fuel than the single 2.5 was

77xcfalcon got a reaction from deankxf in Xc drip rail repairs
So this is my plan, going to get some angle bent up with the top lip bent over. Then make up a jig so I can stamp the lower lip in, then cut some key ways into the roof Flange and match new new pieces into that, I don’t think I explained it very well, I will probably start a build thread and put some pictures up soon

77xcfalcon reacted to gerg in Xc drip rail repairs
Sorry I wasn't quite right in my description. The roof skin folds right under and welds to the inner frame, and the gutter rail has a flange that spot-welds along underneath. Drill out these spot welds and the gutter and outer door frame come out leaving the roof skin and inner frame behind. Instead of trying to describe it in (probably) bad terminology, here's a youtube clip of a Mustang gutter rail repair:
NOTE: he dicks around for a while so fast forward about 7 minutes into it for the actual job.

if you can go see an XD XE XF etc one, it wouldn't surprise me if they are similar(may be the trim width edge thickness like in the clip above also)

PLR do ok work and so does Jack Brothers, actually I'm yet to find someone better than Jack Brothers in Brisbane, maybe mendham engineering but they are expensive.
If you need to send parts half way across the country to get it machined properly do it! machining is 90% of reliability

They do awesome work at a fair price. I sent another customer engine down to them last week. It got there Monday and they are onto it.

Yeah it’s funny that there is no info readily available for the iron head. I’ve been looking to find the chamber size with no luck

Yup as above and give the ironhead to ando so he can flow test it for shits n giggles!!! Coz ironhead is missing from the flowbench section lol
