Brought myself a Cortina last Sunday,
It's a 76 TD, Cortina, L, manual but has no box, has a 84DA XF 250 xflow, with C2 head & 350 Holley on a "Torque Tuned" inlet??,
tryed to get running on Thursday night but had no fuel and only little bit of aerostart, but got it to fire few times.
Next week I'll get some fuel and have another go, as well as going over it to work out what parts I'll need, like rear bumper, head light switch,
Plans are to strip it down & Sand blast, as paint is F*##&ED, I'd say it was painted in enamel in the late 80's/early 90's.
repair rust, Respray in 2 Pak, Tuff Hi HP xflow, C4 hi stall auto, built BW diff,

Yep XE & backwards is 3 bolt, XF's where 4 bolt,

Is the powerbond street, PB1021ST now a twin groove balancer?
I though they where only single groove & wouldn't suit with A/C Hmm.

There should be another smaller dowel in the box. Comes with it and the gasket. Failing that careful removal of the one from your previous pump. Put a drill bit of the right size down the dowel and then u won't crush it as you remove it. They can be a bit tight

My first time with my black ute at the drags, my auto in my was neutralizing between 2nd & 3rd,
checked the recall on my tacho after some runs and got 6800 & 7200 on my 302c which has a stock bottom end, scary.
Yeah stock valve springs are crap, my XF valve bounces around 4000.
First run you can hear a little valve bonce was the 7200rpm

Joe sort of sounds like Bob from the local drag club, & who tunes my ute,
been building drag cars and racing since the early 70's, has worked on circuit cars, also works on boats.

Crossflow heads can flow over 0.550" it just takes work to get it right,
Me I was lazy, I just took my head to a CNC porter, also did it to test flow for when I build my race xflow.
Will be cool to see what Thor makes on the dyno & on the track, I like seeing more tuff xflows out there.

Twin 2.5" with Hooker aerochambers (nice deep note) and 2.5" twin tail pipes should be alright.

Shouldn't be to bad on the dyno, my tuner told me a back in the day a stock 302C used to make 125rwhp or 130rwhp for a good one.
My 302c has the next cam up (214@0.050" 510" 110LC) and makes 215rwhp. 90hp over stock

A day drag racing dropped $160, once I brought my own trailer and didn't have to hire one. But disappointingly have only been once this year.
$197 for trailer rego shit mine was like $74. Been thinking of building another trailer, for hiring to mates and alike so I won't have to worry about them damaging my good one. But will copy my good one with some mods or beaver tail.

'83 silver XE S-pak after my little bro was born, he later sold to a friend of his. and lately been thinking of getting one my self.
