SLO247 got a reaction from Thom in Snowflake rims - Identification.
All the same aside from some early or ESP ones had a different looking area where the spokes meet the wheel.
3 cap types. ESP/Fairlane Sportsman, Ghia, and the later E series ones with the Ford badge.
15x7.
Do it.
With a bit of patience you can get them for next to nothing. I'll keep an eye out.

Gday fellow ford freaks, can anyone shed some light on the Snowflake rim size, colour, width etc,
I'm thinking of getting a set widened for the rear of the ZL.
Are they all 15"? Same offset? Which model has the different centre? I've seen them with Ghia badges, mesh centres, hub/button shaped centre, gold (assume is XE ESP) I realise I need to sacrifice a pair to make the widened rims.
Cheers Bear.

SLO247 got a reaction from bear351c in Hitting bump stops!
Try any other pair of shocks and see what happens before getting carried away. Nath has the same shocks and same problem with his XD.
I've run mine lower for years with standard pedders comfort gas shocks and it handled and rode great.

SLO247 got a reaction from steve mcqueen in door mechanisms
Tried another door handle? Nothing funny going on with child lock?
Don't do anything rash, just walk away until you're ready to get into it again.

That's the worst throttle body I've ever seen.
Felpro did a lot of original gaskets. I have a Ford Racing one on mine as they were cheap on eBay lol.

Yeah I've always just smashed on a smaller socket. Don't expect to use it again though haha.

SLO247 got a reaction from FOMOCOHO in XH V8 wont run on petrol
Can't be ignition if it runs on gas.
Could well be the reg. If there's fuel at the rail and injector pulse it should run since it runs on gas.

Try unplugging the maf and seeing if it starts, I've had them die a couple of times, it's funny they will run without it (albeit not that great) but they usually won't run with a dodgy one

Painted at least 100 jobs over the years using a 1.4 tip using acrylic. Solids and metallics, all works the same. -

SLO247 reacted to thunderbolt in Holley rebuild and setup for standard 250
for the 9x2 and a 14 inch drop base will hit the shock tower. A14x2 fat base only fits if the frame for the bonnet is cut
if you have a mig welder modify a stcock air cleaner

SLO247 reacted to broken-wheel in Holley rebuild and setup for standard 250
get a vacuum gauge and use it setup your idle mixture and select the PV or else you will throw money down the exhaust pipe

The correct air cleaner is the biggest you can fit. I reckon that size you quoted is pretty small. Try around 10" if you can fit it, or an oval type.
That Holley tune sounds fairly close to stock, which is a great place to start but you need to see what list number you have before settling on a tune or playing with bits of wire in the PVCRs. The info is easy to find in a search.

One way to find out i guess! Probably won't be a problem if it's a drop-base type. 7448 lists as having 61 jets but from memory they have very large PVCRs (dunno exactly) hence bigpaulo's trick of downsizing with guitar strings shoved in. 38 squirters are huge for an engine that size, I'd try the stock 28s first.
