How's this one? Take this monster...

Mate it up to a transaxle so it's mid mount and cram it in this...

Probably better to take the cover off the diff and see what is stamped on the gears so you know for sure.

So I've decided I'm buying a nice new set of nice new Simmons FR 1 piece wheels, deciding on wheels has been completely doing my head in to be honest but at least I've settled on the design.
But i cant for the life of me choose between Gold or Silver.
I've always like gold Simmons fr's, and I think they give the car a cool sorta retro look.

On the other hand the silver gives a nice clean fresh look and a bit more classy I guess

but can't decide whether they look too plain or the gold is too look at me

Maybe you lot can help sway my decision...

Didn't think it was really that critical but since you want to dispute I remeasured...

    FALCON measures 23.15 x 211.9 mm
    5.8 measures 33.8 x 118.35 mm

I made up two versions of this one, with and without qtr glass. In the pic the back dogleg is a little iffy on the bodylines but this would be addressed in steel as construction went along.

If you can imagine the back door welded up, I think it makes a nice hardtop too.

NO NO the mighty XFLOW IS NOT DEAD AT ALL.

WE ARE Q1 in the Qld Modoifed sedans. Gavin Fletcher does it again in the mighty XF falcon with x flow power. Beat 50 challengers and a damn lot of big dollar efi cars.

Man between Rob running an 11 and Gavin winning I'm so pumped....

Bumperette colour is either Thunder Grey L6 (EF era) or Thunder Grey 0036 (EA-ED era), Storm Grey 0015 EA-ED era),

or remote possibility of AeroMax Grey 0001. (EF GLi side bumper strips)

The last clevo i had i just couldnt get it right, now i no that i had way to big cam in it for street driving and it had almost no vaccum ,only 5 at idle and a new set of plugs were only lasting 100kms if that from new,i now no that the power valve was open most of the time and it was dumping so much fuel into the motor,i now have many tools and a vaccum guage ,to choose the right power valve,my 750 vac has a 6.5 in it and its spot on for a reading of 13 or more, the new clevo is going good no plug problem, just a tad rich in my view, front jets are 72 and once i get the air to fuel guage it will give me a more accurate reading,i have a set of 68 jet's which i might put in summer time because its dam hot here in QLD,but now its cooled off the clevo loves the colder air .

Yeah Banno pretty much has it, torque is equal on both sides as resistance is equal (ie the tyre driving the road) but as soon as that drive or friction is lost, so is the motivating force on that wheel.

Think of it like two kids of equal weight balancing on a see-saw. The sum of the downward forces is equal to the opposing net force on the pivot. As soon as one kid decides to jump off, the opposing force is no longer supported by the beam.

Now think of the two kids as the wheels and the pivot as the planetary spider gears. Whilever there is traction at both wheels (regardless of speed), the force is always equal to them.

Its already on club rego with the six. I thought about just doing it as I haven't been pulled over yet and I could keep it under the bonnet with the efi. The 6 atm is giving me the shit, take it out one day and its good as gold and the next seems to go like shit. I can pick up a good au2 v8 fairlane for $600 as a donor car and plus who doesn't want a v8 corty

Yep, same! Pull the weights off after marking, hold a bit of 1000 grit on it while idling in 1st gear, then steel wool, then some wheel polish. I also did the bevelled edge this way using a flapper disc on a grinder. I paint wheels this way too.

OK take this with alot of thought if your not comfortable but you could just fit the bare rims to the rear and jack up the car at both ends and clean the rims with the engine going, car in gear and wheels spinning. Done it before myself
