    Agree with above.
I had a 69 dodge ambulance. No belts.
Nothing like having an accident and clinging to the steering wheel like a spider monkey to stop yaself getting splatted on the stupidly thick windscreen.

If I remember correctly, seatbelts became law in Victoria in 1971, and in the rest of Australia in 1972. That puts it squarely in the roll-out of the XY. So I suspect the two seat-belts might have been factory-fitted, but as the XW was released before seat-belts officially became legal in Australia, there was no legal requirement to fit any more at the time it was released.

The old man's XW was factory front bench, with the compliance plate saying it was a 6 seater. All he had to do to get the front centre seat belt in was to double up the bolt tags on the existing bolts that already affixed the other belts to the floor. If you look at how the rear belts are done, that's how he did the fronts. I think he may have gotten a pair of centre bolts from the rear of another car to get the should length right.

Honestly if QLD is anything like NSW I'd save my time and money and just put them in, if it's already complianced as a 6 seater no muppet would ever know and you'd be a thousand bucks (or whatever an engineering cert costs) better off. Technically if it's already listed as a 6 seater and you fit more seatbelts you're not breaking any rules I don't think.

Did XWs come with seatbelts fitted from factory or were they retrofitted when the law came in (not even sure what year that was)?

Seatbelts are for bitches anyway. Real men go through the windscreen in an accident.

If it's complianced as a 6 seater on the rego and 4 more seatbelts suddenly appeared who would know anyway?

In my daily drive wagon I am using an antenna that you plug into the back of the stereo in the normal way but it just sits in the back and picks up the signal, you don't see it at all. For me it doesn't work the best but I think that has a lot to do with the stereo in my car more than the ability of the antenna. It is just one wire, no box or anything on it.

I bought a really cheap one off eBay years ago for my ute, it's literally a sticker that's on the very side of my windscreen. Still works. Think I paid $2 or something.

Hi looking at getting a pair of 15x10 wheels on the back of my xw falcon. Would 295s or just stick with 275s. Would a 5" backspace be ok as well?

~9inch rim will pull in the sidewall more on a 295 tyre compared to a 10inch... Hence easier fit

Unless I am interpreting it the wrong way, the back space would become 4.75".
You are bring the wheel out, so it won't sit as far back under the arch.
The back space I believe is measured from the rear of the wheel hub center & by adding a spacer, you are decreasing the space between the center & the outer edge.
Also be careful of spacers. Massively illegal & can implicate your insurance.
Sorry for the long winded reply.

Yes the XC - XF arms fit up fine . What you do need to do though is to trim the excess thread off the ends outside of the nuts

To the OP, check out the showroom thread under the members rides, heaps of pics in there. If you still need more inspiration, there is the same thread on xfalcon with heaps of pages just have to get through the dribble to get to the pics

I used all TRW (ball joints and steering parts) and Nolathane (lower control arms and bushes) branded stuff in my XD, +  King springs and whiteline sway bars, no complaints so far about quality.

Would stay away from monroe shocks. They do the job but ride like shit. Most people seem to run koni/bilsteins in their X series, XYZ also do coilover kits for the front - I've ordered a set and am waiting to see if they're any good.

Falcon after EB series 2 got 4 pinion centre with solid disc brake and 28 spline like the turbo VL. Before that all diffs are 2 pinion centre 25 spline axle and have either drum brake or vented disc rotors. AU diff is wider as they changed wheel offset, just dont know about widths before AU. But as Jiminy said he's using one so cant go past someone who has done it.
Plenty of gearsets are available like smoke said as there were quite a few cars that came out with borg warner. But diffs themselves are no use as all wrong.
