What brand 9inch lsd units are people running? I want a nice, smooth and quite unit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
The reason I'll going a 9inch is just the available parts are more common then the BW. I was going to go down the 4pin BW but they were getting quite hard to come by. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is it necessary to have the pipes from the trans going into the bottom of the radiator never though it has a trans cooler, or are they there for a different reason? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thank you for that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just brought a 9" diff and just wondering what is the process of matching a tailshaft? I'm running a c4 trans and a borgy diff at the moment. Can I use the tailshaft in it now or have to get one made or from another falcon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've just brought a bare housing with axles. No brake lines nothing like that, so just starting from scratch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I bit the bullet and ended up buying a 9" diff. What do I need to change over for the swap tailshaft, uni, u-bolts etc etc??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
I know about tailshaft yoke, wider diff and what you got to do for the disc brakes. The way the prices are going for 9inch diff it's cheaper to shorten and setup a later model diff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What diffs have people put in their xw-xys to achieve a lsd diff? Beside put a 9" in. Would the most common swap be a later model falcon diff? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cheers for the help. 205/65r15 will be the ones very close to the same height as the rears. Cheers again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Time has come in my XW build to rebuild the motor (302w). The plan has always been just a full rebuild with all the basic aftermarket parts (carb, intake, cam, headers). I always had the intention on bolting on a weiand 174 supercharger in the future and I thought why not do it while the motor is pulled down. Have done a fair bit of research and going on what I have read a weiand 174 suits what I want it for, but just finding it hard to find info on what is the minimal or basic that has to be done to support the supercharger. Just got a few questions. - Has anyone had a personal had this combo and how did it go? - What in the minimal/basic I have to do to the motor to run the supercharger? - What compression ratio will suit and how to achieve that ratio (head gaskets, pistons, etc)? I'm not after a dyno killer or a 9sec street car, just something that has good low-mid range power and still very streetable. Any help or advice is appreciate

Hey guys, I got the ram type power steering in my falcon, which I don't like the feel of. What are my options for steering? I have thought about manual steering but just seeming what other power steering options are out there. I do know of the Xf power steering but don't want to cut into the chassis rail. Is there any physical size difference between the to engines? Will the roller engine slide straight in to replace the flat tap motor?
-
So pretty much I can use the parts off my flat tap engine that's in my XW now to put on the roller engine? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Yea I won't be pushing that kind of power, so I will be in the safe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
The roller motors are a bit better then the flat tap I've heard. Yep that's all I'm after a reliable cruiser with a skid or two. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Yea I have seen that. That's what got me thinking about a roller cam engine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mate your setup is neat, exactly what I want to do. So just buy parts as you would for an early Windsor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
