Ford_Man.. That description of what you have is so mixed up it hurts me to read it .

Transgo rebuild kit?  Transgo make shift kits for valvebody's . not rebuild parts .

Manual Valve Body?? A Transgo stage 3 kit maybe to convert to manual?? Or maybe reading further on I think you have parts from PTC? One of their MVB? If so good choice

R series billet servo?? No such thing. R servo is a factory servo on a lot of Clevo C4's . A very good servo all the same . The billet servo are either based on a H servo  ( P.A or TCI ) or the most popular being the Sonnax brand with the purple cover being based on a C servo .

4 pinion planet + good . likely from PTC . Very nice piece .

HiTuff 4340? Input shafts are either Hituf or 4340, 2 different types .

6 clutch fwd moly hub?? The Chrome moly hub from PTC is a nice piece . The hub is one piece , the 6 clutches is separate really , usually the 6 clutch is for the high/reverse though I do put 6 clutches in the forward in a trans behind a motor making a lot of torque . For interest I have tried 5 forward clutches  with 600+ RWHP and no sign of any slip

Not picking here , just trying to help you understand what you have

Ah yes the old C10 thing again lol . Good to see you mention Gassed250   No such thing. They are all C4 , C10 is a slang term for a Clevo Pan fill trans

Now to the original question. A C4 built right will laugh at 500 HP. A C6 is a good choice also. The FMX will work too, prob not the wisest choice but if you had FMX already it can work ok .

No you are wrong, I invented it all. You're extremely lucky that I am generous enough to share it all with you... Such is my vast, immeasurable talent that I am sometimes, wait... always in awe of myself for coming up with such mind-blowing, god-like, pure and original ideas. I also have a gargantuan, tree trunk-like penis.

Point is, 14 1/2 second quarter mile times are nothing these days, you could build a daily drive engine that shits on a 'stock' XY GT.
Clean up the 2V heads, roller cam and rockers, balance everything. Will spin to 5 grand all day everyday.
(....and, yes, the Hoey had a mechanical cam and lifters.)

Gandalf reacted to gerg in 302 Cleveland 2v cast heads
351 2V closed chamber never existed! All 351 2Vs were open chamber. The 2V closed chamber head was created for use only on 302 Clevos, exclusive to Australia and were sought after in the states for obvious reasons. Sounds like that 351 had those 2V heads fitted by someone some time in its life. All 351C closed chambers were 4V from factory, but not all 4Vs were closed... Post-'71 US 4V Clevos went to open due to emissions, etc, Confused yet?

2V heads fitted with 4V valves were a very common sight back in the day, and Clevo120Y I think might have tested a set. Seem to recall that he found that increase over 2V valves was ok but not spectacular. without some serious blend work in the bowl, etc I think it's not worth doing. If they're already done, then no dramas.

Dude at work did what your after but has since sold his ute on...mine looks like this as I don't want a rolled pan look or tow bar but something different...

I used 1.6mm zinc annealed sheet and cut it to size and welded it on there when I was happy with what I saw.

It will sound 400,000,000,000,000 times better with the mufflers right at the rear valance and I need it somewhat legal so side exit is out.It is too short by about 60-80mm from last rear opening memory.Yes been there done that.

To hear this NAT ASP car in the flesh gives any straight man a instant hard on

There is PLENTY of room for the exhaust to go under the diff and the front 4 link cross member is already notched to accept the twin exhaust and as Ando stated there is no spare wheel well anymore so I have ALOT of room after the diff aswell so finding space for fitment will not be a issue just the current 3" I have doesn't fit the car anymore.

I would fit a 2V head, Holley, cam, electronic dizzy and extractors. Is the car manual or auto? If it is auto i would do a manual conversion to get a bit more go. If  you stick a t5 behind the log motor and 3:45 diff gears it should get it moving alright and you can make it look like it is just a stock 4 speed from the inside. By the way got any pics of the car ?

Had no intention of illegally changing engine number on a different block. If I don't have any luck I'll go alloy, dart, world or arrow block. Nothing like a matching no's gs v8 ute though. Then again, matching or not, it'll never be worth as much as a coupe or gt. Just a personal thing I guess.
