After a hard days work on the Clevo, place your spanners into the household dishwasher - and walla nice clean tools ready for the next session. Cheers - Steve

I used half a cup of soluble oil (for machining), when the car radiator got a bit crappy. Leave it in for a day and then flush the system out and all the muddy crap would come out with it. I'm talking older cars here, leaves the cast iron and radiator like new. Looks like milk when added to water. It was free for me also as Dad had an engineering company. Cheers - Steve

Search google for c4 vs fmx. There's a thread on it somewhere. Cheers - Steve

A lot has been said of the fmx for strength. But from memory it'll be on its limit. Second the c6. Although big dollar c4's will take 650 easy. There's a lot of power lost through the c6 though from a previous thread I saw a month ago. I'm at 400hp with mine and a pretty much stock but overhauled fmx with 2200 stall. No dramas yet. Although the whole car has been on stands for a few years lol. Cheers - Steve

Make a nice DIY flesh light. Take ur pick. Cheers - Steve

High output had solid cam. I like the sound of solid cammed motors. And wouldn't mind a bit of adjustment on the lash every now and again. Cheers - Steve

Another nice story to compliment a few coldy's. Cheers - Steve

Must still be some tachometer dash's around. I think the old f100's shared them too. Might have to wait and see what pops up. Cheers - Steve

I had a td Corty rally pack in the eighties. Engine had a slight cam in it, a top loader a twin system. Carb was original. Went like the clappers and sounded awesome. I know it's a lighter car but I agree with 78gxl's suggestion. Long live the logs ! Cheers - Steve

Or scrape a bit of paint off an inconspicuous area. I did that with a van a few years ago. Cheers - Steve

Sounds a nice colour, any pics? Cheers - Steve

When done right c4's are a lot tougher and performance components are easily available. Will probably go for arrow or dart block next year with 3v's. Looking for around 400 at the wheels, but that is another story. Just thinking the fmx will be on its threshold with that setup. And the weight is another issue I guess. More power is lost through fmx than c4 from what I have searched.

I have a 351 fmx and 9" in the XC ute. I'll be changing to a tough c4 during the rebuild. Are the props different? What about the crossmembers. Was told the fmx has 31 spline output. Is this different to c4?
