Engine weights about 195 kilo. so add weight of manifolds etc.. prob 250 max?
I threw one in boot of Corty (original 4cyl shocks/springs in rear) and drove 400km and you couldnt even feel the weight in the back as the 250xflow pulled like a train the whole way.

Put the engine back in now and sorting all the little things out, got some wiring to sort. Ford changing the starter motor over to the other side of the engine has been the biggest problem for me keep finding little things to have to move or rejig but really taking shape now.

You will need to either get the top shaft also with that rear housing or get your falcon one cut down and drilled to take a roll pin to hold the shifter ball mechanism.

Then just unbolt the 4 bolts for the shifter.

Knock the roll pin out with a punch.. be carefull when taking the shifter bit out because theyre is a spring and it could go anywhere. and to remember how it goes back togethor.

unbolt the bolts to slide the back of the housing off.. then either swap the top plate over to mustang one. or cut and redril the falcon shaft to suit.

then cut the floor to suit.

Continuing on from my thread on the other forum. I Have recently sold off my crossflow and have decided to try a different route. I'm going to try and get some reasonable times out of my car now being powered by a DOHC FG falcon motor. The plan is to 1st get it in the car then get is running (not that hard when you say it like that) I'll be using my throttle body setup of my old motor and try and use my custom pipes as well. Also looking at my options at the moment as the ecu to control the cams. the rest of the car will be the same as before with the xflow, well thats the plan any way's!!!

1st picture to start off while I'm waiting for the bellhousing, engine came fully complete i have striped it down ready for install.
