Bought a speco one just last week... cost me $10 cos it was loose on the rack with no code so the dude behind the counter had no idea what it was or how to sell it. I guess its been there for a while.

So t5 anything from an xf on will work although eb on ate the better ones.
Use a single rail bell housing (top loader is the same) you need to drill a couple of holes and machine a few mm off the nose of the gearbox and your away.
Honestly I wouldn't bother with a 9 inch these days, they are worth a fortune to have one made to fit a watts link arse end. Loads of guys use borg warners nowadays in some tuff cars too, and you'll break loads of t5's before you break a 28spline borgy. Go a 3.45lsd out of an ed xr8 and it will basically bolt straight in and will stand up to the toughest clevo.

Run an airgap if its only a mild setup,if your getting serious a single plane highrise with a 1inch spacer would work well,TFC etc make some good ones.

I hear ya bro...in a xflow RPM cost $$$ but they make torque in spades which in street cars means faster acceleration!Just got to mold em right...It's not super difficult just harder than and engine swap with zero add on's as you need a package.

I took my ute to Winton last year while it only revved to 6700 at the time it won all bar 1 of 12 races and only lost to a blown XR8 FG ute by less than a fender in the top end. It's all in the combination brah...that motor on street tyres in any gear would smoke the tyres till you got out of the throttle.Crazy tractor engine it was but while I short shifted in low gears I revved it out in top which shows RPM isn't everything but it also isn't cheap.
