xhadyboy 492 Posted June 6, 2017 I have been offered a set of 18 " El GT-P Wheel's and tyres (5000 km old) Will they go on a XE with super lows king springs? Will the offset be ok ?
gerg 10,871 Posted June 6, 2017 Offset is right, centre bore not sure, width might be a drama, especially if running a bit of castor (scrubs at the front of the guard lip).Sent from my CPH1607 using Tapatalk
xhadyboy 492 Posted June 6, 2017 The tyres are 235 x 40 x 18 So compared to the 215 x /14 with a overall O.D of =635 mm And the 18's being = 653 mm O.D 18 MM bigger That's gunna upset the speedo ?

dex 2,065 Posted June 6, 2017 They'd need spacers yeah ,?
Defective 1,692 Posted June 6, 2017 They're not el gt wheels, they're ba gt wheels. Wrong offset if factory so you would need bolt on adapters. If the offset is right then they're aftermarket copies.
xhadyboy 492 Posted June 6, 2017 So are Ba and Nl the same stud pattern ? I thought XA to EL had the same stud pattern?
Valvebouncer 2,389 Posted June 6, 2017 So are Ba and Nl the same stud pattern ? I thought XA to EL had the same stud pattern? They all have the same stud pattern right up to fgx.The difference is in the size of the centre hub and au onwards switched the offset from rwd to fwd 1 Defective reacted to this
Defective 1,692 Posted June 6, 2017 Falcon wheels are generally referred to as being pre-au fitment and post-au fitment. pre au is 0- +6, so the mounting face of the wheel is basically in the centre of the rims width. Post-au is +36, so the mounting face is 36mm closer to the outside edge of the rim. All five stud Falcons are 5x114.3 pcd. 3 xhadyboy, Valvebouncer and gerg reacted to this
SirkWhyXF 1,533 Posted June 6, 2017 As stated already they are BA gtp wheels, but being they came off an EL they are most likely aftermarket copies in the correct offset for pre AU vehicles. If not they are the original ford wheels in the wrong offset for falcons befor AU's an the EL was running spacers in which case if you grab the spacers and use them on the xe you will have no issues. Stud pattern is the same on all falcons (excepts for the xp's back i think?) just the offset changed with the au. Basically if they fit on an el they'll fit the xe. I've had dark argent typoon copies in pre au offset on my xf and ed. 1 xhadyboy reacted to this
SirkWhyXF 1,533 Posted June 7, 2017 And here's my brothers ed running 35mm spacers and ba offset wheels. Edit: I just noticed in this pic it doesn't look like he's got the spacers on the rear, so they sit in and look kinda tubbed but still work, but you get the idea. xhadyboy 492 Posted June 7, 2017 All good info lads thanks. He asking $650 for the set.So probably copies for that coin ?Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
SirkWhyXF 1,533 Posted June 7, 2017 Probably, but your better off with the copies in the right offset anyway, then you don't need the spacers.
xhadyboy 492 Posted June 7, 2017 Are the spacers no good ?Or just more shit to deal with?Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
SLO247 1,713 Posted June 7, 2017 Genuine ones were 19" and didn't come in E series offset, so yes copies. If they are clean and the tyres are near new its not far off. 1 SirkWhyXF reacted to this

Didn't make any noticeable difference on either car for me. 10 minutes ago, xhadyboy said: Are the spacers no good ? Or just more shit to deal with? Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk Spacers are fine in my opinion (some hate them for various reasons, each to their own), however they may possibly void your insurance if you have an accident, and yes just more shit to deal with and another cost to add, unless you got them free with the wheels. xhadyboy 492 Posted June 7, 2017 Insurance companies they are like snakes .F**kin wriggle out from anything.I reckon they will say the spacers are a non factory fitment .So i will ask hkm the question.
