ando76 4,354 Posted April 14, 2014 awesome work Jason - looks the goods just sitting there. Seems like single four barrels are real old school now on an in-line 6. Oh well - go with the flow. 1 TF_250 reacted to this
TF_250 398 Posted April 19, 2014 Put the engine back in now and sorting all the little things out, got some wiring to sort. Ford changing the starter motor over to the other side of the engine has been the biggest problem for me keep finding little things to have to move or rejig but really taking shape now. 8 SLO247, dougie77, Mixalis and 5 others reacted to this

It must just be the shape of the engine bay on the passenger side, but that engine looks factory fitted!! We will put it down to fate, it was meant to be!! bay look's to have so much room empty but trust me room is fast running out!! Wow, i have never seen any thing like this build good work mate loving the N/A 6's lately I think I will stay tuned and watch with a lot of interest cheers mate thanks Will it pass for rego. putting an aftermarket computer and throttle bodies on new motor? Not sure which State you are in. I'm in qld and not going for rego. This would pass maybe with a single throttle body and some sort of airbox. I don't know all the rules but remember that the DOHC is a smaller capacity then the crossflow by 8ci. Looking real sharp Jase... thanks mate, its getting there!! I havent been pulled over in my Corty yet and I live in a suburb with bad rep for last 20 years with cops everywhere and its my daily.
TF_250 398 Posted April 21, 2014 Getting the drive by wire setup all sorted out now. Using a BMW motor connected to my original Nissan throttle bracket via a custom link I have made and using a VE commodore pedal which is also in the process of being mounted as well. 2 Mixalis and gerg reacted to this
PRO250 1,506 Posted April 21, 2014 why do you have to run the remote pedal if your useing your TBs? or just so theres no cable?
TF_250 398 Posted April 21, 2014 yeah mate no cable, pedal sends signal to motor, motor opens throttle as normal.
TF_250 398 Posted April 28, 2014 Got the pedal bracket made and pedal mounted Used half the old bracket and branched off to the new mount Attached the pedal All fitted in the car looks pretty factory to me would have to look twice if you didn't know it was DBW 2 slydog and P100_Ute reacted to this
