i caught a bit of news footage at 6am ish showing some areas and saying issued right down to the NSW border and beyond.

i remembered you'd had high water before and was hoping it wasn't going to get worse for you but WOW!

have you got the car jacked up? on blocks etc for extra height? or is that already a write off.

might be some cheap flooded XEs for sale possibly?  i remember there was a member restoring one once

hope it gets better real soon

Are some of the salt-waterfront suburbs a bit better off than those near freshwater creeks, or is everywhere stuffed?

But some of the waterways are fed by (tidal) creeks, others are just canals dug in from the ocean, which doesn't rise as much.

oo\li have lived on the gold coast for 20 years and lived at many waterfront places as there is millions of them and they all connect to the ocean and tidal in some way or the water goes stagnent,i think not until you get to robina there is spillways ect ,and very brakish water that can overflow if flood.

I felt the drill bite when pressure was there but gave it a bit to long on the spin ,had the drill on the slowest speed ,didn't take long.

Shows how much a stock Ford pump will pump, no need for high volume. Also, better to find the leaks now than once in the car
