Raymond Daley 4 Posted October 15, 2015 Hi guys just wanted to know if anyone els has had this problem or know what it might be... I have just started u a new race engine and I have oil pissing out the dissy hole... I pulled the dissy out and it had no Oring but this dissy was in another car and didn't have a problem.. the oil pump was also in another car and never had this problem... any thoughts would be great.. I'm meant to be racing on saturday.. lol
slydog 7,873 Posted October 15, 2015 Is the dizzy fully located and going ALL the way down ?
Mustardxf 29 Posted October 15, 2015 Make sure all the breathers for the engine aren't blocked (pcv), mine weren't working and was pressurising and pushing out the dipstick. could be the same problem!
bear351c 10,276 Posted October 16, 2015 Agreed. Check your engine can breath, PCV, catch can empty.... put dipstick out and see if there is pressure in the tube with your thumb. 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this
Raymond Daley 4 Posted October 19, 2015 ok so on more of a look the Oring on the oil filter was cracked and where it was facing was right at the dissy.. but the funny thing was that where the dissy over hangs the block the oil was hitting that and making it look like it was coming out of the dissy hole.. all good everyone thanks for the input.. gerg 10,871 Posted October 19, 2015 Oil filter must be as old as the engine for the seal to crack... Never seen that one before

ando76 4,354 Posted October 19, 2015 Glad we got that one sorted. always something simple - just which one of the 3000 simple things is the hard bit. 3 PRO250, Raymond Daley and Outback Jack reacted to this
Raymond Daley 4 Posted October 19, 2015 filter was a new ryco.... still had to pull the motor out Ando.. had a knock but not deep enough to be big end.. i replaced all the lifters and still the same thing.. I dropped the sump and pulled the oil pump and when i put the drive in and turned it i got to one point and it seemed to get stiff to move then come clean after that so i'm hopping its that. ando76 4,354 Posted October 20, 2015 knock sound = no good. oil pump tight spot = no good. fingers crossed for that engine.
