Supersnake reacted to Gaz in Tool to remove power steering pulley
It's nothing like mine but it might do the job. It's cheap enough but.
Last time I replaced mine, (about 10 years ago) the removal tool was about 80 and the installation tool about 65.
If you're in Melbs I can do it for you.
Try Ford for the adaptor or Enzed or Pirtek. Enzed Bayswater used to make them for me in batches of 20  when I was doing them full time, when the Ford price went through the roof, but it would be a slow moving part for them now.

Thanks for all your help guys, I've decided to get the springs checked and if needed replace them to match a hydraulic roller cam. Was leaning towards something from comp cams as I hear a lot of people are using them on here. But that's all going on the backburner for the moment, I'll turn my attention to getting some new wheels for the fairlane.

    Cheers guys

oooo chaise i like your thinking
depends if they're 2v's or 4v's.... theres probs no point with a solid roller on 2vs unless they have MAJOR work done, unless maybe you went something with low lift like a comp 288R or crower 284R which could be an option if the bottom end can handle it...?

yeh sly i reckon theyll be duals with a damper, tripples would only be used on a set of heavily worked 4vs with a massive cam i would think... then again nothings unheard of?

either way your springs will need replacing if you don't know how old they are... last thing you need is valve float on a new engine.

Thats a cool plan...if it doe's infact have triples (could be duals with a damper) a roller may be a better option. If duals a solid.

Have you thought about a simple new cam and some solid lifters?

The heads definitely have a fair bit of work done, I plan on quite a few mods in the not too distant future, so instead of spending money to get the heads reconditioned, and then getting more work in the future decided to go for these.

I'll take a spring out and measure it up, see what I can find.

most likely heads have been machined to suit, however i am sure if you went through a catalouge you will find springs that will fit fine.

those springs will be way too strong, it begs the question, what is done to the heads? tripple springs are only used on huge cams...

I do like the 268h for streeters and tow vehicles, but in a 302 they are a dud (cam is designed for low down and in a 302 it's just to small by the time you get the rpm to make the cam happy your starting to run out of heads but they do sound mega tough in a 302 you are better off with a deh), stick with the deh series cam far nicer in a 302

comp DEH265 would probably suit.... you could go a DEH275 if you wanted more hp.... just depends how hard you want to rev it, the 265 works better in a 302, it has a bit of extra torque, works better with the 570 as well.

you are going to get a hundred and one different opinions.... everyone has their own preferences, for me the DEH series is what i use in clevos with unported heads and midrange power, it has more lift on the exhaust and more duration, so it seems to help the poor exhaust port on a clevo.

if you abuse it, you will blow the diff, just warning you lol, but id expect that anyway.

depending on comp ratio etc, you should get close to 350hp and 350ftlbs (with the DEH265), which will make the 302 feel pretty close torque wise to a 351, though a lot more hp then a stock 351.

i know thom likes the 268H by comp, hes used it a few times so he can explain its performance better than i can.

Just done up the heads on my 302c no porting or anything just new valves, seats, guides, springs etc.  Don't know anything about cams and need some options. Its got a 570 street avenger carb, performer intake. 2v closed chamber heads. headers with twin pipes two cobys and an H pipe. Going to replace cam, lifters and timing gear. Its got a c4 and the  factory diff it used to be a manual 6cyl efi xe ghia.
Its just a weekend car not an everyday driver, something to put a smile on my face after driving my shitty diesel bighorn all week.

if its got a points dizzy in a clevo it must be a blue block, fitted to your car.
unless some one turned down the shaft to make it fit.

Hey guys, I'm wanting to stick with a stock look on my ZJ fairlane by using the standard hub caps, but would prefer a wider tyre on the back. Does anyone know if you typical 14x7 or 14x8 12 slot wheel will accept a hub cap?
