XG Xr6 has the 3:45 ratio, but isn't any stronger. If you want to do burnouts etc, might pay to get it rebuild with some extra goodies inside to suit your driving style. I think harrop do a centre for these.

My LSD was whining in my old xd ghia 351 and I thought okay I'll get rebuilt soon! and when I did a trip from bairnsdale to Melbourne I was doing 170kms and all of sudden it really winned loud!! Then when I tried slowing down it started shaking and locking up at speeds over 100kms, so all I could do was speed back up to 170kms were it would smooth out till I got to a safer area to pull over. Anyways flat ground on side of road appeared. So started to slow down locked up at 80kms so put my foot back down the throttle to push it off the road. Locked up on the grass! Smoke everywhere dry grass started smouldering. Had stand there for hours making sure I didn't start a grass fire, out back way of bengworden with no passer byers, no reception, anyways eventually got a hitch then towed the car back later. Pulled the diff out bone dry inside and everything was twisted melted and mashed!!....
So make sure not to push high speeds lol

Set timing, as the guys above have.said.

If you still run rough, tune the carb. If you can't tune it, rebuild it. A kit should cost around 70 bucks

I've NEVER seen a Falcon ball joint fail. Yes they'll be fucked and break open and run dry and have about 20 mil movement but they never let go. You could drive that that for another 10 years and the only problem you will have is a clunky front end, poor steering and unevenly worn tyres. I'd drive around Australia on it no problems.

Yeah my sedan is the same, as soon as 2 or 3 top bars go it just seems to disappear like a v8.

Hmm interesting. I'll have a look at both my fuel tanks Thursday morning and see if I can notice any reason for them to be different.

At a guess it may be because wagon fuel tanks have the spare wheel on top of them, utes don't.

Only problem is they are a different size only
About 300mm to short and they are trying to charge me 280 buks for 300mm of metal Anyway I'd thought I'd show you the extractors and a before and after picture of them also a sound and performance test on the street haha first post on this forum so thanks guys
