Defective 1,692 Posted February 28, 2017 I'm going 17s to give me room for a brake upgrade if I go that way in the future. 2 dex and CHESTNUTXE reacted to this

SPArKy_Dave 8,876 Posted March 1, 2017 me too for my grand prix replica only thing to think about is 15 or 17 ? Â Since it sounds like you'd be going with a more modern turbo kit for the GP replica, original looking wheels in a bigger size, would fit the.... 'Modern twist on an old favorite'.... theme perfectly. Â I'd go with 17's. That'd allow the option of bigger brakes too. 1 SirkWhyXF reacted to this
CHESTNUTXE 7,312 Posted March 1, 2017 Sure would Dave, big 17x9 on the back with low profile tyres 1 SPArKy_Dave reacted to this

(i'd still go gold... but i do have a gold wheel fetish, i just love gold wheels for some reason.) 2 Slow250XC and Defective reacted to this

Maybe some V5's with a custom 17inch hoop?  Simmons isn't the real Aussie made Simmons anymore though. Retro Wheels bought all the old dies and parts, for the original Simmons wheels. 1 SirkWhyXF reacted to this
CHESTNUTXE 7,312 Posted March 2, 2017 v5 is nice and period correct, you see quite a lot of them on grand prix's,but the new performance gold looks almost too good to resist for a look a like enkie. 1 SirkWhyXF reacted to this
Defective 1,692 Posted March 2, 2017 Simmons Are too common these days. Â They still look good but it's like the default option when you can't think of what wheel to buy. 1 SirkWhyXF reacted to this
CHESTNUTXE 7,312 Posted March 2, 2017 YEAH true,i think the 20'' looks silly on a xd-f around 15 to 18'' i prefere.
Defective 1,692 Posted March 2, 2017 YEAH true,i think the 20'' looks silly on a xd-f around 15 to 18'' i prefere. Yeah not many can pull of 20s. Seen a few that look good but so easy to look out of proportion. Â I had 20s on my old ute, and got rid of them and went to old school 15x8s and it looked better and drove much better. 1 CHESTNUTXE reacted to this
CHESTNUTXE 7,312 Posted March 2, 2017 back in the 80's 16'' simmons were all the rage, just about every commo had a set,if i was back in that era today i would have bought a set of bbs gold mesh like the ones green tuff had on it,which originated from the porshe cup cars in europe massive 19x14 on the ass
NZXD 2,328 Posted March 2, 2017 These are photo shopped on at this point, but do have them in 17x10 for rear and 17x8 for front sitting in boxes. Â Â Â Â Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3 SirkWhyXF, Defective and SPArKy_Dave reacted to this
