xwroo 348 Posted December 15, 2015 Not sure if this is the right place but is there any good/reliable dyno tuners out there? Someone one who know how to tune a carby engine well. Looking for someone in and around Brisbane/gold coast and anywhere in between.
ando76 4,354 Posted December 15, 2015 Zok race carbs and engines. Zoran has been around carbs of r many years and has his own chassis dyno. Southside of Brisbane. Nice bloke. 3 gerg, Outback Jack and Menice reacted to this
gerg 10,871 Posted December 15, 2015 His name has come up many times so he must be good. Rare to find any tuner who knows carbies these days. 2 ando76 and PRO250 reacted to this
wagoon 2,429 Posted December 15, 2015 Zok builds custom carbies, apprently one of the best. Never use them as I cant afford them but have never heard a bad thing. Didnt know he had a dyno, thanks Ando.
ando76 4,354 Posted December 16, 2015 Yeah mate he has his own workshop now and it is very well set up. I met him first about 14 years ago when he was working from home. Top bloke and real enthusiast. Back then he had two dizzy re-graphers and his own home made flow bench for carbs. Spoke to him earlier this year and he is going real strong. I could probably t up his dyno for yours. I've got one of his x-flows coming in for a freshen up next week actually.
Menice 331 Posted December 16, 2015 Zok yes he'd be the only guy i'd use for a carby tune
Menice 331 Posted December 16, 2015 Was gonna use one of his carb's for a boosted clevo build, this is what he told me his rates may have changed but something to go on"zok" tunes start at $450 which gives you two hours on the dyno and for most combos thats enough to sort out carb and timing its only when you have to do major mods to carb or dizzy that you need to spend more time
wagoon 2,429 Posted December 16, 2015 A couple of runs up the gap and a run over to zok's shop should be done for run in yeah? I'm up for that 1 ando76 reacted to this
xwroo 348 Posted December 16, 2015 Thanks guys, I've pass his name on to my mate, who as got a xy with a 393 storker. He just wanted someone who know what they are doing to tune it to get it running at its full, he only uses it for a sunday drive.

wagoon 2,429 Posted December 16, 2015 So Zok is still in the capalaba area? Been a few years since I looked up his details
ando76 4,354 Posted December 16, 2015 Tombo Street, Capalaba according to faceballs. Ryan - we will be doing more than a couple of runs up the gap, just for the pure aural pleasure, not cause we will need that many to get a good baseline. Lol. 2 wagoon and Outback Jack reacted to this
