clevocortina 1,109 Posted August 10, 2013 Hey Guys I recently had to change over a steering wheel in an AU and noticed the air bag/ horn pad was filthy and sticky, I want to scrub this up as I think its all just years of sweat and grime but don't want to drown the air bag itself. Thus my question can you remove the soft pad from the air bag assembly with out damaging anything or unraveling the airbag? BTW the centre is still out of the car
Ants 6,370 Posted August 10, 2013 Not as far as I know. Just spray it with degreaser. 1 revhead reacted to this

n00bus m@x1mus 465 Posted August 11, 2013 Yeah the screws holding it on are a 5 pointed security bit... much unlike the 6 pointed torx bits. I just jambed the right sized flat blade in the crevices and wrenched those suckers out Then replace them with some dirty old M5 bolts. 3 Thom, GspecZL and revhead reacted to this
