matt_lamb_160 got a reaction from slydog in crossflow porting results
That's what I thought, but could not prove. Basically the extra port work is only required if you have over 0.55" lift. Agree on the chamber work, it has made an even bigger difference than I thought it would and is important for any engine.

milzy here...cbf changing accounts
thats pretty much it, although most people just weld onto their existing housing instead of buying a new housing.
As for welding a cast housing, I have done a couple and haven't had any issues. Basically just preheat the housing and weld it while its hot. They say you should let it cool in sand bla bla, but ive just let it cool naturally and haven't had any issues.

You can always block off that wastegate and just run a pipe/wastegate off the turbine housing. Will control boost better then off the manifold.

The manifold is not divided all the way to the flange, the second photo is bit deceiving. It is just a short 'merge collector'.

matt_lamb_160 got a reaction from slydog in comp ratio to suit camshaft
I think low tens would be pretty safe assuming you are using petrol. But mid to high 9s would be fine.
The cam will pull from 2200rpm up to 5,000ish I think, but lift is low for duration.

Thanks for the input guys. I have ended up going for one with opposing end tanks like Wes was talking about.

Thanks mate, but the thread is about intercooler style, not specific brands.
