burnnotice1000 got a reaction from gerg in CLEVELAND ENGINE TALK
After spending a lot of time cleaning this block it's come up quite nice and all it needs now is a bore and hone and 1 more hot wash,I would say 95%of the rust has been removed and well worth it

Wow even standard, that's a massive bore size!
I never knew 460 specs before.

Std bore is 4.360 so 60 over is 4.420

How does one calculate the 4.420, from 060 thou?

A type of citrus tank,460s are very hard to find ATM not many bringing them in anymore as costs are sky-rocketing,and our dollar as well.

All the engines down south here, seem to be expensive, for unknown sec/hand.
What rust dip, does the guy use?

Actually 472 I forgot to mention after he checked the block it was already 030 over,so it's Gunnar get a 060 bore which these blocks handle fine ,some even bore them to 4.500,but 060 over is 4.420.

They are a lot better than what they were,he used a round stone cutting type thing with a 11/32 fitting that slides into head where the valve goes ,or pay $600 to set it up on the valve seat cutting machine arr no thanks this will be fine for a stock engine

I can still see some putting on those seats, I hope your head guy is confident that they'll lap in like that
