log manifold ring mixer and a + type system with a omvl r90e convertor. if its allready got that type system installed cant go wrong. id only work with dinosaur impco stuff and b2's on cars with that type of system all ready installed. r90e is a nice convertor their nice and tunable. also have dual outlets if you want to run twin throttle body. one thing i kind of pondered. twin throttle body with 2 ring mixers. unless you can use gra throttle body with omvl. seriously now one of my prefered and favored convertors. went well off the line with ea cam. put this other crow cam thats suitable for gas in. but sware ea cam gave it more initial oomph. but i never have had enough time or money to put it to the test.

Hey all. How gos it? ok you guys wouldn't know it yet... but i bought a stock 5 spd 4.0l xh ute. i wanted something a little bit different to the past 6 1/2 years of xf. its duel fuel. now ijm thinking of getting j3 chip installed. and i wil be installing a 6al2 soon. i was going to run my current cam which have been told is suitable for both fuels. to get the best i can out of both. now my question setting up to run e85 aswell. if i could i was thinking if i can could that be rab through existing fuel system and what would it need support it. down the track maybe install another tank for the e85 and find a way to make a switch If you reckon its doable. and the pretty much stock eb 4.0l could only handle it for not to. long. i dont care to much.as long as i saw it work. and get a go out of all 3 experience it, sweet. i got restored 96da el-au hybrid motor waiting to be assembled i can make changes to. could be able to chase up some money to do a couple mods to beef it up in a way. wouldn't want to change it. to much just to keep it simple. like may be able to get some hypertech pstons you know stay to the engines guidelines. that way im not forking out to get more custom made internals. to replace the ones i smashed while getting greedy. i might get inlwt ports flow matched. might get a thin copper gasket for the next thing, i may go a turbo down the track. was not chasing big boost, or dyno queen horsepower. i wont touch comp to much, to have bit of n/a punch and to carry it over the line. please laugh at my theory tell me to do more research i will. ot got any suggestions suggest. i would only give the car a kick in the guts. about 30% of the time. if i know what i need and do the sum. see if i can get through it. or have to scrap the idea. im bit aware on turbos. not aware on cost of running e85 properly. think cost efficiant. not chasing big power. you know maybe crack a lazy 13-14. down the quarter if possible. .just want daily i can have a bit of fun with need when be wise and safe. and maybe test the potential of e85 Yes i know this is a bit of essay. and could have probably be summarized. id offer you a wild turkey if you where near by to relief the strain whilst reading such literature, Please fill me in,. Re read maybe i should give the turkeys to you guys... lol still stand by the idea would like to know.

Preferred method for torquing headbolts?
dizzy616 replied to XFute-1JZsoarer's topic in 6 Cylinder Tech
i prefer steps like the 40-80-110nm thing. the whole 120 degree thing i feel makes it complicated. and did i exactly get that bolt to 120 degrees. or was it 115 as i try to swing the torque thing around 120 degrees and try to keep the wheel gauge thing in the same spot as you walk around the front of a falcon trying to swing your torque wrench in 1 go if you get what i mean. the hole step by step 40-80-110 stuff etc just seems easier and less harder to stuff up. i reckon the dial degree thing is better for when the engines are out of the cars so you can get direct sight over the top of the dial though i like to make sure i measure it the way how they say in the instructions. that way if something stuffs up you know you done it to the right instructions. so there for you feel less shit if it gos wrong haha. if the instructions say 40nm + 90 degrees then im doing that if it gives me a choice of the step to step torque settings. and then the instructions for it then degrees id probably chose the 40-80-110 thing -

$0 mod with autos toying with kickdown cable adjustment. can give you a bit of go. trick em to shift a bit how you want them to aswell; little bit of timing doesn't go astray yes i have flipped the aircleaner hat. for a bit more airflow in the past. next thing i can suggest is t5 conversion. or why not go full hog buy a e series with a t5 and just swap the engine as well.

cool as. Fark wish i didn't put all that money into a head and stick it on my 3.9 now. might see if i can do a swap with someone. aren't they a au style crank and rods. would a coilpack work with msd? as i got 6al2 on the way but yeh i stuck a dizzy in the block. its got the hole and cog all looks like it should work. just needed to make sure.
-
okay so it appears my new block is a hybrid motor. so it looks like i can get away with a dizzy in the block. i was wondering are these blocks non vct? would it be more cost effective in the long run to use the au head? are the au heads actually any better? mine appears to have a steel sump. so if im correct. i should still be able to stick it in a xf with no sump mods? what are things i need to worry about with this motor? as i want to just do a straight swap. run it all on xf wiring loom. like im doing with the current sohc. put the old manifold on the block and old exhaust system. and run my gas system. distributor. coil etc so basicly everything i am using at the moment. to run my 3.9 in the xf. swapped over to run the hybrid motor will it work?

Clarko's Performance - Crossflow Manifold
dizzy616 replied to SPArKy_Dave's topic in 6 Cylinder Tech
they sell aussiespeed gear.. so wouldn't be suprised if it is a aussiespeed manifold. matter of fact if you zoom in far enough. is that a aussiespeed logo on that manifold. lol -
Hey. I was wondering on a ef. Can you just replace the rubbers on the balljoints. And is that doable without taking the balljoints out. Because i hear they need to be pressed in. But the actual balljoint its self seems good. Thankyou.

might hold off a couple days and go the 6al2 then. and thinking something needs to get turbo'd in the near future.
