MNTL.XD got a reaction from KRUPTOR in How to get the oxidise/rust look on a car.
I've always wanted to get an entire car airbrushed to look like it has big rust holes in the the bottom corners of door and along roof rails etc etc, some thing in excellent condition made to look as sad as possible, similar to what you have there (the pano) or similar to rat rods, but no actual rust, purely done with airbrush.
But then again i've always wanted to get a car in primer, get a professional graffiti artist to cover it in his work, un-mask it and clear coat it as is. Maybe i'm just sad? lol.

MNTL.XD reacted to Mr Polson in XC Fairmont 4.1 crossflow Cheap power upgrade ??
Depends what box is behind the motor too as to best diff choice, if its going to be auto or 3 or 4 speed Id stay 2.77 or 2.92, but if its a 5 speed I'd switch up to a 3.23, they match up brilliantly with the 5 speed boxes, good acceleration and I can get highway fuel usage of around 10/11L/100km.

I was going to say die grinder with small sanding wheels. I also used a drill with small wire brushed and a hand wire brush.

Acrylic base coat wont supply you with a strong gloss finish like a 2pak will off the gun. The clear coat protects the base coaat and gives it depth and allows you to buff it up to a nice shine. It quite amazing what a difference it makes.
On the sill you could usee something like Cguard and then top coat it with acrylic. You can get Cguard in black, grey and white.
