XF001 93 Posted October 14, 2014 All the little metal threaded thingoes behind the rear screen of my xf ute are loose and pull out. Does anyone have the same problem and if so, how did you fix it?
Mr Polson 10,214 Posted October 14, 2014 I used weatherproof superglue, worked so far.
XF001 93 Posted October 14, 2014 Mr Polson - where would be the best place to purchase said superglue?
gregaust 319 Posted October 15, 2014 Since the clips have self tapping type bottoms. What about drilling the holes bit bigger. Use the type of plastic clips that push into a hole and spread as the screw goes in to retain the clip. Mr Polson 10,214 Posted October 15, 2014 Bunnings or Mitre 10 is where I got mine. Gregaust's idea sounds pretty good too though, especially if you put pressure on the tarp/clips sometimes. 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this
Ando81 2,950 Posted October 16, 2014 Could you drill a small hole in a piece of sheetmetal and place it under the existing hole from inside the tub and thread the pin into it?
Demmo 295 Posted October 17, 2014 the area where they screw in is a boxed in section which makes the fix a large job to be successful on my old ute I had new clips with the upholstery replaced across the front of tarp to matchup new holes an new clips. the old holes were just bogged up and I repainted that section [pressure pac white]

Ando81 2,950 Posted October 24, 2014 Sorry mate, I didn't look on my ute to see if it was filled in or not. That makes it a harder fix, bugger.
