Thom 6,654 Posted April 3, 2014 does your car have aircon? are you going to use it? if not use the aircon core instead as a heater core
Scottee XDFwreck 42 Posted April 3, 2014 Ive done it but 25 years ago and no pics. Turn the heater core upside down, Drill new 30mm holes in the case & firewall, plug the old holes, done... 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this
Mr Polson 10,214 Posted April 3, 2014 does your car have aircon? are you going to use it? if not use the aircon core instead as a heater core I tried this, only problem was air was always hot, never cold, regardless of temp position. Went back to proper outlets, and cold air worked again.
Thom 6,654 Posted April 3, 2014 did you still use a heater tap? I've seen it done on an xg with a 5.0 in it and it worked a treat
SLO247 1,713 Posted April 3, 2014 You still need a tap on it. Haha. Should work fine with a tap.
Mr Polson 10,214 Posted April 3, 2014 Yeah, had a brand new tap. Same one it has now. Â Maybe I have a dodgy A/C core or something? Or the tap was in the wrong hose? Â If you want to connect heater hoses to A/C core you need to reduce the hose size down for one of the hoses.

Just the core, not the whole box? Where does that relocate the holes to?
bear351c 10,273 Posted April 4, 2014 I thought the Clevo fit, with a slight massage of the firewall, behind the right hand side rocker cover. ? 2 Stevemack and XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this

Scottee XDFwreck 42 Posted April 6, 2014 The heater core only not the case! the tubes come out at the top of the firewall, just like the XD & XE does...
