Stevemack 122 Posted September 2, 2013 I have an EF racecar with an NA 6 pumping 220+Kw at the wheels, goes great and stops pretty good with Brembo rotors and race pads, but i need it to stop better. EF brake upgrades are not cheap and thats when you can find a decent kit. There is a bit of Fab work going on in this forum, so i thought I'd ask. Has anyone done any fab stuff to upgrade the brakes, perhaps modding the upright to accomodate BA hubs etc? I'm thinking of grafting a whole BA front crossmember and suspension setup across if i can't find something easier. Anyone?
Thom 6,662 Posted September 2, 2013 A couple of years ago street fords featured an ea using Au suspension front and rear using an Au K frame and Au irs, if you use series 2 or 3 Au stub axles BA brakes bolt on, I'll see if I can dig the mag up 1 Stevemack reacted to this
n00bus m@x1mus 465 Posted September 2, 2013 You will increase your track by 60 odd mm but, and that might be a good thing. 1 Stevemack reacted to this
Stevemack 122 Posted September 3, 2013 Ive seen the K frame graft used in speedway, it's fairly straight forward, but havent seen it done on anything else.
revhead 1,392 Posted September 3, 2013 what about hopper stoppers
Stevemack 122 Posted September 4, 2013 Hoppers stoppers kit is all custom stuff i thought, i want to keep as many off the shelf parts as possible in case i break it somewhere. Besides it's pretty pricey, 2K plus last time i checked.
