Finally got the bugger off. The clip had broken and was spinning freely. A big screw driver to lever down, another to stop it from spinning and 10 minutes later - one guard off along with dirt about 6" up the guard.
 
Surprisingly, the bottom of the 'A' pillar and the guard is rust free, just dirty.

There is a slight difference with how the lights and front guards of an XD-XE bolt on to the car. It is doable but may needs a few minor modifications.
I'm sure there would be info on this site somewhere

Doors, boot lid, side mirrors should all be interchangeable. Centre console should also fit.

I've been tossing up the idea of xe spac stipes on a xf for a while, the Orange and red goes well on the yellow too.

Didn't think it would be too easy. Luckily, the rear window has to come out anyway to remove some rust and the rear vent windows are easy to remove.

Annnnnnnnnnnd 295x50x15's fit on my ute...even get a bit of tuck
 

 

 

 

Don't know if xg tailgate is the same but Wagoon is stripping an xg ute and the tailgate looks ok.
