blownxd393 got a reaction from Trev Vaa in clevo electric water pumps
Cvr I have run since 2002. No issue's. Cost me 525 back then.
    Great little pump.

Also I run an edelbrock mechanical pump on other clevo's of mine , no issues.

There is a VDO sticker on the back of the tacho that reads 8. But the front facia has yellow paint at 4800 not 5200.

I know it's not quite the same, but my little 302 runs a mild cam and uses closed heads, can tolerate about 45 deg of timing on E10, I've heard some accounts of closed chamber actually being more efficient due to the quench area creating more turbulence, eliminating dead spots and reducing detonation that way

Precisions are where i last bought my 302 long rod combo pistons from but was a long time ago. they were a hypotechtic piston (not sure on spelling).

not really a combo i like personally as the valve relief is quite close to the top ring.

    good luck with the build

    cheers Carl

Edit....my pistons were flat tops but cant remember the releif cc off top of my head.

blownxd393 got a reaction from Trev Vaa in 377 stroker
    All good mate,

The point I am trying to make is that the f246 and 378ci on the street is no slouch down low... From my exsperiance.

Just to add I also used to have a f246 in my tunnel rammed 4v xd also 378ci 12.2-1 comp, 3.5 gears and a UN matched 3k all fast stall . Again the myths of no bottom end power was put to rest even with the ram and twin 750cfm carbs.

dont fit 4v valves to the inlets of the 2v's mate. your doing more work to go slower

the f246 works well with the 378ci and especially on the street but the f246 works much better with 4v heads i found.

in all honesty, i relise you have half the parts but it makes more sense to build a 383 0r 393 and most proberly cheaper in the long run.

what pistons do you have trws ?
