Fantastic! Thank you for that. I'll give it a crack tomorrow. šš

if it's anything like XDXEXF which i think it will be,
you need to measure approximately 30cm from the door trim, inwards on the lower edge, and PUSH (i've had to use a prybar once) the lower edge toward the back of the car and it will lift up in the process.Ā
one each side .Ā
video below basically shows how, even though the hooks are nothing like the XC one, process is the same with many older cars Ā -
Hello again folks.Ā Ā I've had a rare burst of enthusiasm to continue with the Falcon and we're installing a new carpet. Ā However, we've come to a halt with the removal of the rear seat base. Is there some trick that we're missing?Ā Ā It lifts a little bit, but if there's a clip or something, we're not finding it.Ā Ā Any ideas please?

The old girl is back on the road! After a sketchy tyre scrubing drive to the tyre shop I now have two new tyres and an aligned car. Ive got my photos of the rebuild (which was easier than expected!) And will be writing the guide up soon. Ill do the suspension check guide on a different car as this one was tight as a bell even before the ball joints but all in all its been fun being behind the wheel of the old girl again.

I ended up going for this one, and it has some cool capabilities, like auto-ranging (can be be set to manual), rev counter for 2 and 4 stroke engines, temperature probe. I might never use some of it's features though...but it has worked well for everything I've neededĀ so far and the lit up display is great for darker areas... Ā

The passanger side is done! Once I started it was pretty simple with the only hickup being splitting the top ball joint. The replacements seem of good quality with the same range as the originals and after replacing the lower control arm it tracks much better.

USA ones are (for the equivalent mustang) BGDAV had to drill his out the slight extra on the Global West lower control arms for this reason.Ā

I think most of the aftermarket arms, are aimed at the earlier models? -
did you get XA to XD lower arm bushes? if so they are smaller camber bolt thickness
-
Modern parts suck! Had to die grind the inside of the lower control arm bush to get the bolt in
