steve mcqueen 1,796 Posted April 13, 2013 Are they "polished or un-polished" centrelines? Will help what you clean them up with. Mothers do an alloy wheel cleaner/polish that's good stuff but make life easy and buy a Mothers polish ball to assist bringing them back to life. plenty of you tube clips on this subject, id suggest checking them out

Mr Polson 10,214 Posted April 13, 2013 I bought mine from autobarn, for an even better finish buy the deoxidiser and use that, then polish. Before: After (just normal polish):
thunderbolt 150 Posted April 13, 2013 go down to the hardware store and get one of those josco polishing kits that fit the drill its like what the pro's use but smaller and slower but its easier than using ya hand
mcfly94 169 Posted April 13, 2013 hit them with some 400 wet and dry, go to 600, then 800 then 1200 then hit them with autosol and a mop on battery drill, youll see your reflection in them.

hendrixhc 10,921 Posted April 16, 2013 Nah your doing ok there mate. Was just gonna say where the wheel weights have made a mark you can use some 1500 wet and dry with some wd40 to clean the marks up and then hit them again with the polish. The marks will virtually disappear. Are you using a buff on a drill?
KRUPTOR 929 Posted April 16, 2013 I like this thread, someone should start a thread on the oldschool 14inch mag wheels, polished up versions of them.
