Oscar of Markoz 160 Posted November 30, 2015 Hey guys Just wanted to know what the XE XF fuel rail is made from? Is it metal that's coated or is it stainless steel? Thanks
gerg 10,871 Posted November 30, 2015 I'd say they're steel, coated in anodised Zinc.
Crazy2287 1,886 Posted November 30, 2015 Yep, coated Steel. Be very careful with hygroscopic fuels as it can corrode and send shit into the injectors.

Oscar of Markoz 160 Posted November 30, 2015 Oh ok, I get ya. Yeah, not 100% sure I'm going to be running E85 yet. I will need to get the rail recoated in something as I'm welding on it, so that could sort that out. Thanks for the info guys.

Crazy2287 1,886 Posted December 1, 2015 Some alloy fuel rail bar stock and a machine shop that can drill the o-ring seats in at the correct angle. The fuel lines will need to be replaced as well.
