slydog 7,873 Posted March 18, 2015 Should only be 3/8th unf I think ? Cost about $5 @ any bolt shop bruz. I'd convert it to 7/16th now and use socket head bolts though for a performance application.
gregaust 319 Posted March 18, 2015 Yep 3/8 UNF . Use a normal nut and shake proof washer. I say normal nut because a nyloc can sometimes be too high and hits block plate. Same reason for shake proof washer they are thin. Some converters do use 7/16 but IMO not necessary. ando76 4,354 Posted March 19, 2015 I had good success with mechanical lock nuts on the skid beast - no come loose. plus 1 for no nylock - heat kills them and off they come. by my convertor has studs - If you are using bolts go with the socket head cap bolts - way more tensile strength than anything ARP and stupidly cheap.
