XFV8_pano 9 Posted June 5, 2014 I blew the same gasket about 6 months ago, then a few months later a head gasket. Its a rebuilt 351w with a single plane hirise manifold running straight gas. I rarely flog it. I actually heard it blow this time, when i was doing 115kmh on the Hume. its a distinctive loud tapping noise that occurs under load, and is silent at all other times. Annoying as hell. I fitted felpro gaskets between the heads/block, inlet, and exhaust when repairing the blown head gasket. Made in USA... Advice?

XFV8_pano 9 Posted June 6, 2014 it was tuned when i had the head gasket blow. it had never run sweeter. heads were machined, everything was double checked. What gaskets do people recommend? Nothing made in china though.
RAWDEAL 222 Posted July 12, 2014 What manifold is it? Did ure machinest mock it to see if it fits 100%? Sometimes they need machining if uve decked the block and heads
Stevemack 122 Posted July 25, 2014 If the intake faces were machined, you're going to need to account for that in the intake gasket thickness.
