i wont be painting the outside of the car yet, save that for when i have the cash to do it the right way. it will be a pearl white when i do paint the outside tho

Black bays make it harder to spot leaks and stuff, plus it looks better when the bay matches the exterior.

Yeah dark colours around the engine make it hard to see what you're doing no matter how much light you have. White epoxy would be the go I reckon... Not cheap!

has anyone got a diagram of the 351 ignition system and the efi 250 ignition system. using the relay from the efi 250 to start the 351 it clicks but does not send power to the starter

Your starter motor got a solenoid on it, piggy back style. Or is it a straight cylinder (Clapper) starter, with a remote solenloid.? Usually hides under the battery tray. (351 that is).

all good found it, was playing with the wrong relay, not even sure what the one i was playing with does as it just pluged into itself down the loom.

 

plugged the signal wire that was on the relay onto the 351 remote solenoid and she cranked over. so thats pretty much all the electrics done. ill do the exhaust and fuel lines tomorrow then hopfully she will fire up
