I have a 1985 xf with a mild 351 clevo in it which continues to over heat. I have a chinese 3 core alloy radiator which I bought off ebay for 200bucks, a Spal 15inch thermo. It use to when cruising sit around 100degrees so I changed the thermostat now sit around 80degrees cruising but once I get stuck in traffic it creeps back up to 100 and sits and then just continues to climb even when I cruise again. I don't have a shroud on the thermo fan is it worth me getting on made up? Or am I better off upgrading the radiator? and if so can anyone recommend a good brand or any other advice on the matter.

Hi guys, Does anyone know of a decent supplier of new radiators for XFs? My XF, EFi crossflow radiator has carked it, so looking for a replacement. TIA

Question. I have an alloy radiator which will be going into a TF cortina. Intercooler infront of it. The rad is a 2 core. I'll be running a thermo and electric water pump. Currently the radiator is just in 1 end tank flow across and out the other. Will this be sufficient or should I make some dividers in the end tanks so that the water has to make 2 trips across the core before exiting out?

Hi guys, I am in the process of installing a 302 Windsor motor (out of a Xw) in my Xe falcon and am unsure of what radiator and radiator hoses i will need for this setup. I have been looking at aftermarket radiators but don't want to fork out cash to find out that it doesn't suite the 302 Windsor. Looking at a PWR radiator at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Guys Considering a alloy radiator for one of my v8's, standard rads just don't cut it Obviously there are a range of big name stuff, your pwr, aussie desert cooler and then there is your ebay specials there will be quality differences obviously but there is also big price differences to consider too does anyone know who has the biggest off the shelf radiator? i used to own a massive 5 core unit but iv never found another one anyone able to offer some experiance? has the cheap ones been any good? are they standard size or oversize? who has the best value for money? anyone ever had a custom radiator made? price? i hope to use a single fg fan for looks and performance, i found with my 5 core the twins ef fans didnt work anywhere near as hard as with a factory manual 3 core, rarely had to turn them on past half speed, so i think another genuine ford big single fan that ford uses as the common twin thermos should be acceptable

As the title says looking at all the full alloy rads on ebay etc, anyone had used one of them WHILE still keeping A/C? Reason i as im planning on keeping the A/C with the 4lt in my XF but will be getting the rad modified to suit the EF/EL pipes DO they clear and are they the same SIZE wise V8/I6 as a whole across XD/E/F?

Hi guys, quick question. Who knows if 1 of these aluminum radiators will fit straight into my FD. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=748167552 The original 1 sprung a pinhole leak near the outlet at the top & I've had it braised but the guy said it could be a matter of time before another 1 pops up so I want to be proactive & replace it. The original core is 550 x 440 x 32 & the 1 im looking at is 650 x 450 x50. I measured for the length & depth, will be fine. Will the width be an issue with the fan? I measured & it looks like I'll have 7mm clearance but does anyone know for sure? Thanks & cheers.
