Yer that correct the 30deg is efi 
and yer vac advance dizzy 
ill bump the dizzy to 18-19 and see how I go

Yer I thought It might need to be advanced I have read that the au 5.0 run a base timing of 30 degrees but wasn’t to sure. I using a proflow (ready to run) dizzy and diff gears are 3.45

Hey I’m looking for some help I have a xe Ghia whit a au3 5.0 converted to carb and have set the timing to 15 degrees. It feels very sluggish taking off. Does anyone know what the timing should be?

interesting I work at capalaba and looking a a carb tune,  better start saving my pennies myself

Yer I've serviced it on Friday has made a difference shift gears ect and currently on fuel economy test

Yer I was running cold all the time when I got it found the thermostat was stuck open I then changed the thermostat and flushed engine and put coolant it. Temp runs about half on the gauge since i changed thermostat and coolant.
