    without a photo..

the head heater pipes are OUT... and the water pump is IN.. (direction of flow) this is only relevant for the heater tap, as it may not open or may be pushed open if the flow is wrong.
if you have 2 outlets still in the head.. just block one off if there's nothing else left to use.

    More bits!
Today was all about running around town picking up packages and grabbing hoses etc. from Autobarn.
The banjo fitting for the Edelbrock arrived. Just waiting on the base gaskets now.
I'll need to cut some out of the East/West adapter and the pad of the manifold to make room for the carby butterflies and to get rid of some lips. Easy job to do.
And my Gilmer drive setup arrived!!!!
I also stopped in at the auto sparky and he will wire up my gauges, thermo fans and MSD ignition for me.

Does anyone have a diagram on which heater hose goes where, where the tap thing needs to go and where the vacuum line run to? I'm bypassing the manifold, as it won't be there anymore, and I have a mental blank on where the hoses went.

Yep cam run in. I'll have another shot at the timing next week. Still need to reroute the heater hoses and bolt the power steering back on.

Running rough, but running. Back to work tomorrow, so I will get back to it next week when I have my next lot of days off.

Depending on whether it goes to a drilling that leads below the throttles or above them, it will either be a vacuum source or engine breather fitting, respectively.

If not used, definitely plug it. Looks like 1/4" or 3/8" NPT

Will do. I'm not afraid to cut some out of it, if I need the extra room.

They came on some crossflow motors I picked up.

    So she fired and ran.

But I fucked up and forget to tighten the fuel line!
Fuel everywhere and now the battery is flat.  So tightened the fuel line and charging the battery to try again.

My Dad made them when he was working on his cars rust/exhaust/engine conversion etc. think the stands are 40cm high from memory, i left them with a mate in Tassie when i moved.. haven't needed them, but have missed them at times.

Something like this diy jack helper might have been useful to hold the trans

Made it to help hold the uneven disco axles. Just scraps with a tube to slip into the trolley jack pad

    Fuck me what an afternoon!
One of the engine mount bolts was stripped, so had to run into town and get a Helicoil kit, $80 later!
But I feel better knowing all 6 engine mount bolts are doing their job.
Then finished fitting some bits and pieces and finally got it off the engine stand and got the flywheel and clutch on.
And then struggled for an hour trying to get the gearbox on by myself and fucking my back in the process!
Got the mother and father in laws to help me and finally got it lined up and on.
    Into the ute tomorrow!
And now for some Beam to dull the pain.
