I read that these wheels are eb Ghia to ed series 1, but these wheels are ed series 2

Curious to know if the XE ghia/esp xf ghia wheels were designed and or made in nz. I've seen on the inside of my wheels FNZ which I can only assume stands for ford new Zealand or does it mean something else?.

The rhr snowflake on my Zl is originally an EA spac rim that i got from the Wreckers years ago and paint stripper is what i used to get the silver off and i use goldrush metallic to give them the esp look.

No i didnt put spacers on the back, id say its 80 -90mm from the cat to the ground im using an old push rod which i cut at 100mm as a reference.

Thanks fellas appreciate it, but ive fucked up again i took thé massive tall springs out of the front and glued 2× 10mm spacers together on each side to give me a 20mm lift in thé front and drove onto a flat pièce Of ground & thé cat converter is thé lowest point now on thé car and is less than 100mm so ive gotta take out thé lowered springs & shocks again & put thé tall springs & shocks in again silly me,well atleast itll be easier now by removing thé bump stop plates first.

Cos they were the original springs/shocks out of the Zk wreck in the backyard (I don't have anything a little taller than the king springs & I'm not robbing bits off the ltd for a roady). Yeah I used my iPhone 3 as reference & it is bout 4" & couldn't stand it up straight without it hitting the extractors. -

I'm try to replace the lower ball joints & outer tie rods today but am already running into trouble. I can't get the tie rod off the knuckle I've been trying for about 1hr now & I've already bent my new ball joint seperator tool. Also will the bottom bj have to be pressed in & out? I've never done this before so it will be a first thanks tie rodlower ball joint -

Cheers dean, I got the tie rod off by smacking the thread with the nutt on. The new ones come with new nuts pins etc. -

The threads on the bj and tie rods are completely seized onto the stub axle wacking & smacking with the hammer and fork tool seems hopeless. -

Hi all need to know if xe or xf 6 cyl carb fuel sender will fit in to my fd ltd fuel tank which used to be efi 6, reason I'm asking is cos atm I'm running the v8 with the original efi 6 fuel line which has an inside diameter of 6mm whearas the v8/6 cyl carb fuel line has inside diameter of 8mm I got a v8 fuel line off a fc ltd from the wreckers the other day but the sender is no good to me as the hole in the fuel tank on my ltd is much bigger in diameter than the sender unit from the. fc. So I thought I'd ask here first instead of making another trip to the wreckers to find out that it won't fit, thanks in advance. Chris

yep, also from the rear of the wheel arch to the end of the rear quarters are also a tad bit longer on fairlanes than falcons found that out one day when I bought some side bumper extensions off an xf painted them up all nice & went to put them on my zl & they just weren't long enough.

Thanks dean, I found out yesterday when i went to pick a part the xf carbied style sender has a smaller hole in the tank than the efi one no matter ive figued out a way to connect the efi sender hose up to the v8 hardline. In regards to the fuel tank id have to get one out of a zk zl that is carbied since the rear end is longer than the falcons yeah ?
