Mr Polson 10,214 Posted September 21, 2017 Anyone ever converted their xflow to take studs for the rocker cover instead of bolts? Just a thought in my head as I need to either lengthen my bolts or go to studs on my wagon, due to the increased thickness of the rubber rocker cover gasket I have. hendrixhc 10,920 Posted September 21, 2017 Never played with those 6 cylinder sludge pumps but i have converted the clevos to rocker studs. easier to fit the gaskets and covers.
XTREME KARTS XF 1,212 Posted September 21, 2017 1/4" UNC you'll need chris, mesure the thickness of the gasket and the cover to determine the length of studs/bolts you'll need 2 gerg and Mr Polson reacted to this
gerg 10,871 Posted September 21, 2017 Same on my clevo, going to acorn nuts on my cast alloy boss style covers. Purely for wank factor thoughSent from my CPH1607 using Tapatalk
SLO247 1,713 Posted September 21, 2017 Make sure there's still room to get the cover over the rear stud Chris. 1 Mr Polson reacted to this
Mr Polson 10,214 Posted September 22, 2017 That's a very good point Dan. Another reason I thought of for doing it is the xflow alloy head is shit for stripping the rocker cover bolts, less likely to happen with studs.Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
hendrixhc 10,920 Posted September 22, 2017 If they are 1/4" you could use an ARP clevo pack. 1 XTREME KARTS XF reacted to this
